Michael Giacchino music score for st 11

Why would he stick to to Alexander Courage?

If he didn't, the movie would suck!? :wtf:

Please name me one Star Trek music score that stuck to Alexander Courage. ;)

I'm sure it will be mostly new, with a few nods to Courage here and there. That's basically what he did with the Mission:Impossible 3 score.

I think he'll use elements of Courage in the 22nd and 23rd century parts and elements of Goldsmith in the 24th century parts -- I liked his score for "Cloverfield," but it essentially was a pastiche of the original "Godzilla." He's pretty derivative, so I expect a lot of recycling from him.

Wait, Cloverfield has a score? I can honestly say I don't remember that... well, you know the music fits well when you literally don't even notice it.

^ It had a score over the credits. Very classic monster movie type vibe.

22nd Century!? :wtf:

 :wtf: The music was during the ending credits.

It was a parody of monster movie movie. How is that derivative!? :wtf:

Him!? :wtf:

That's Ms. HOLY Tomato to you. ;)

Its shit, not crap.

You didn't agree with me. No soup for you! :D

Re: confusion. Doesn't matter. I misread the post.

It would seem even gods are fallible.

So we are going to get derivitive wall paper. Wow, I can't wait.
You've never heard a Giacchino score have you? Check out the score for The Incredibles. Or Lost or Alias. No wall paper there.

Yeah, he's one of my favourite composers. Can't wait to see what he does with Trek.
