I started replying in the general Picard-era ships thread, although I thought La Sirena might deserve it's own thread. I'm surprised it didn't have one.
So (I hope it's ok, I am new here) I started one.;)

La Sirena: Spanish for Siren and/or Mermaid (if you conflate the two) of Greek myth.

The ships com and logo clearly invoke the later....

Some shots from the very first SDCC trailer.
Mostly interiors, but some interesting observations:
Rios at Holo-controls, also holo-displays throughout.
The platform in front of the circle of lights seems to recur as where people first appear on-board. So it's likely where the transporter is.
This first angle of the platform (with Picard standing small on it) reveals how large the ship is, as you can see well beyond the columns. It goes much wider than the corridor down the center, and really extends out to either side.
Again Rios at the controls, but I included it, cause for a brief sec. that tiny ship may be La Sirena crossing the Borg Cube.
This shot is interesting as it confirms Seven joins them on-board La Sirena as she is in front of the same light configuration. However, they are a different color(blueish), maybe the effect as they go to warp!
And the infamous first engage shot! ...Wonderful!

    More to come....

Here it is from the back...

    Another shot of its underbelly...

Here it is firing on a Romulan BOP...

It reminds me somewhat of Baran's Raider from "Gambit" (TNG) ...

    continued....

More shots of La Sirena from the second NYCC trailer

The cargo-hauler like interior, has grown on me, since we are not on a Federation ship, but on a rogue mission, and crew, it should look different from the familiar starship setting and bridge we are used to seeing Picard comfortable in, and this does exactly that. He is out of place here. And it fits great!
I'm curios about the holo-controls, Captain Rios pilots the ship with, and what the lights in the back are? Looks like it packs a punch.
I think later teaser shots somewhat changed the glow on the main engines to a deeper blue than seen here, i'll try and find another grab.
I love that Rios plays football on his ship (yes I'm assuming that's Santiago Cabreras kicking the ball around (should be no surprise to any football fan why it took a Chilean-Brit to finally introduce football onto a starship)) And it's wonderful to see!
rewinded to give a better lasting view of the front.

I know many aren't crazy about it. I've seen others complain it doesn't look like a familiar Federation ship in or out, they are entirely missing the point, it's not supposed to.
Personally I think it looks great! I love the name.

Update^ they definitely changed the engine light color to a deeper blue and added yellow lights too!

I'm very "meh" on the design. It looks incredibly generic from what we've seen so far but I figured that was the point - it was meant to be any of the freighters/mercenary ships we see in Trek.

If you want to see a badass merc ship, check out the Icarus from the Renegades fan films. It's like Voyager had a baby with an X-wing and it grew up to be Kylo Ren.

It very much resembles the USS Equinox with a large chunk removed from the front (the Deflector Dish) and a chit-load of greebles added on to it.

Big fan of it, so far. Looking forward to getting a better look at it.

I love that we finally have a hero starship that isn’t Starfleet.

It does remind me of Baran's ship as well. "Gambit" was actually the first TNG episode I thought of when I read the casting sheet thingy for PIC, so, this is kind of a full circle thing for me.

Great call, although somewhat less the caricature of a scarab-beetle, makes sense the design would invoke a similar mercenary type smuggler ship. Yet still it's own.

What's with space pirates and ships that have two pairs of spikes in front? The Orions started it in TAS...

Too bad they didn't call it La Sirenetta ;)

They probably don't want to tempt Disney to go after CBS for copyright infringement or to to not remind them there are still some companies they haven't bought yet :D

Since the movie was called "The LITTLE Mermaid", I don't think Disney can claim a copyright infringement on a foreign language representation that is used in a completely different manner.

Thanks for compiling togthe screenshots together, and analyzing that circular cluster of lights. It seems to be in the rear of the ship, so I bet you're right that's the warp core.

Definitely getting a Narada feel with the large cavernous interior, don't know if I like that or not.

Or then the six lights are the transporter system, because all the characters appear to arrive from that location (which has no doors in evidence as such), after which they launch into seeming introductory exposition...

The spikes in the above image appear to be the phaser emitters. It's a pretty clever design that can protect the interior in case of overload, and when enemies target weapons, it gives the ship a better chance of escaping with minimal damage.

Plus, "La Sirenetta" is simply the title that has been used in Italian for the Hans Christian Andersen story ever since it was translated in the 19th century. Disney simply used the same title for their appropriation, I mean adaptation of the tale.

That's what I meant, they didn't call their ship "The Little Mermaid" because of Disney :)
