There are kitty cafes for this situation, you know. There is one in Chapel Hill, NC, for instance. It's a 2 story area that cats roam in and the upstairs is like one big living room with sofas, a coffee table, table and chairs and lots of cat toys. Japan has these kitty cafes, too.
