Until it's a mathematical certainty, I refuse to believe we'll win it!
Shaky is not the word. Disinterested defending has been City's Achilles heel this season, but in that first half against Man U. they were criminally incompetent.
They need to replace Vincent Kompany with a competent center back.
They also need some kind of defensive identity. No cohesiveness or any plan whatsoever besides "let's hope the midfielders suck up the ball, because we can't mark anyone to save our lives"
Pep seems to be indifferent to defense - seems to feel the best defense is a good offense. Even his goalies are selected based on their ball handling ability and ability to start up the offense.
It shows, and it isn't working this season. Time to make a change.
VAR has become a joke. The standard is supposed to be "clear and obvious error" for VAR to overturn a call on the field. If it takes 5 minutes and multiple slow motion replays (plus a human technician trying to draw lines to determine offside) then it was obviously not clear and obvious. I'm talking about Premier League. I don't know how well it works in other leagues.
