The weekly WATCHMEN episode sum-up

The only thing that puzzles me is in the comics Hooded Justice was depicted sympathetic to Nazis.

Yes, these are the recollections of Hollis Mason and maybe the reality was different, but why should he lie or be wrong about something like that?

If you consider the Before Watchmen series to be canon, that series established that Mason did indeed write some deliberate lies in Under The Hood concerning Rolf Mueller, although the comics HJ in BW met a different fate than the TV HJ. The BW series also established that Mueller was NOT Hooded Justice..

Under "Trivia"...

Assume those are true, even in TV canon.
Now.
Can you think of a better way to cover up your identity than espousing those views? Or covering your particular tastes...

Or maybe he was trying to say something and his white colleagues cut him off and spoke for him, then those thoughts were attributed to him.

Also is this implying that in a timeline where Fred was not shot he passed his mesmerizing machine on to his son?

This is only page in the original comic where H.J. expresses something similar to an opinion. It is slightly bizarre to call the war in Europe a "political situation".

Here's a look at David Hayter's test footage of his 2003 attempt at adapting Watchmen with Iain Glenn ( Ser Jorah/ Bruce Wayne) as Nite Owl.

Really enjoyed it, even if I found it all to be extremely predictable. But sometimes predictable things end up giving you exactly what you want.

I liked the distinct musical change when we shifted to modern day Louis Gossett Jr encountering Don Johnson.

Ho
Lee
Shit
Balls

Did not see that coming. I mean, I put 2 and 2 together as Angela was leaving the clock, so I knew where she was going then, but before that, I did not see that coming.

Adds all sorts of new conflict to the tension between Laurie and Angela.

Glad to see Looking Glass is apparently fine, though I guess I'm not quite sure yet what actions he'll choose to take in the future.

Really enjoyed the Angela backstory in this episode.

How many people heard every Trumper rant on the internet when that guy ranted about how hard it is for a white man?

At what point does history diverge from real world history in this universe? Right after WW2? I guess if that was Fred Trump it was already diverged at that point.

The big reveal in this episode was surprising to me because Angela seemed to be in the protagonist role with the same body of knowledge as the viewer.

Probably with the first appearance of Hooded Justice and then again with the first appearance of Dr. Manhattan.

Sooo many of the words coming out of her mouth have been lies. To so many different people.

"Can I listen?" is probably one of the best and most telling lines in a show that's been full of them.

I’m enjoying the hell outta this....
Definitely one of the best new shows of the past few years.

Sadly, and I hate to mention this, I don't think we've heard that it's been officially renewed yet. Though I would imagine that there's some pretty serious discussions going on about how to make the second season as compelling as the first. It'll be a high standard to live up to.
