Trek guest actors in maybe surprising roles

obert Lansing as a former bounty hunter in the old west, bent on revenge after his ranch is burned down and his family is murdered, in the 1966 movie "An Eye for an Eye."
Sounds also like Gregory Peck in The Bravados (1958).

Elinor Donahue as a young woman, with Paul Fix as her father, who falls in love with murdering polygamist Whit Bissell on the current episode of 'Have Gun Will Travel'.

Elisha Cook as a fashion photographer in over his head in the second season I Spy "Rome Take Away Three."

William Schallart continues to be omnipresent, today being spotted in an episode of Magnum, PI entitled Basket Case as an evil stepfather using his charges to commit theft.

Continuing to watch '62-'64 series THE ELEVENTH HOUR. Episode 8 (Hooray Hooray, The Circus is Coming to Town) was written by Gene L. Coon and directed by Lawrence Dobkin ("Charlie X"). One of the guest stars is Vic Perrin (Tharn in "Mirror, Mirror").

This episode also has a Who's Who of guest stars from THE TWILIGHT ZONE: Burgess Meredith, Edward Andrews, Henry Jones, Vaughn Taylor.

While the show itself isn't the most exciting thing I've ever seen, the guest stars sure are keeping it interesting.

You're going to hate me for this, but:

This reads like Paul Fix falls in love with murdering polygamist Whit Bissell. I know what you meant, but my mind goes to strange places sometimes.

Watching 'Have Gun Will Travel' on MeTV this morning.
Paladin is transporting a princess across the desert and there in the background is the Vasquez Rock formation.
It's a different angle then what we normally see on television, but it's there just the same.

David Opatoshu as a former associate turned local Commie leader in the 2nd season I Spy "Tonia". Featured the lovely Leslie Uggams as love interest for Cos.

Hardly a week goes by that I don't see Vasquez Rocks pop up two or three times on Me and H&I's westerns.

ETA: Like right now on Gunsmoke, for example.

John Fiedler (Mr. Hengist from Wolf in the Fold) is in an episode of Columbo (Blueprint for Murder) right now on Cozi TV

Nimoy may have gotten in over his head with this role...

From Mission: Impossible, "Submarine" (Nov. 16, 1969). This episode also guest-starred Lee Meriwether as a recurring Season 4 guest agent.

Nimoy doesn't really fit the guest-actors theme of the thread, though, since he was a regular in both Trek and M:I. And Meriwether was the closest thing M:I season 4 had to a female regular.

Also, you missed William Wintersole (Abrom from "Patterns of Force") in the third of his four M:I guest roles. And Vic Perrin in a voice-dubbing role, and possibly bit player Al Roberts (whom IMDb lists as an Eminian council member, though Memory Alpha doesn't concur).

Anyway, isn't "Submarine" a great episode? It's my all-time favorite M:I installment.
