I believe you can offer more than one QO per team where as the franchise tag is limited to one player per team.

The Nationals made Qualifiying Offers to both Stransburg and Rendon yesterday, so yes, there's no limit to the number of QOs a team can offer.
I don't know. Maybe they trade JD. Not sure how viable that is though. I'm really intrigued by what Chaim Bloom is going to do. This is going to be a fascinating hot stove season.

Edit: My guess is that they shift Torres over to short, which is his natural position, have LeMahieu become the permanent 2B and pray that some combination of Voit, Bird and Ford can un-fuck themselves and hold down 1B.

Gio has the better arm and did well at the plate, but Miggy led the majors in extra-base hits in '18 before he got hurt. Error wise, they are about the same.
Maybe Cashman thinks DiDi won't get what he thinks on the market... maybe he offers him 3 years 12-14 mil a year?

I've worked in marketing and project management for fifteen years, outside of a brief time that I managed a Days Inn for three months as a favor to a friend. I'm paid to remember details. I can still remember my first girlfriend's phone number, and we went out for like two months in 1999 (which I remember because our first date was to the Wing Commander movie).
I figure Urshela has that locked down for a while. He's got a semi-troubling strikeout problem but it's not horrifying (we aren't talking Starlin Castro / Javy Baez levels of swinging at utter garbage), and he's still got another season before he hits arbitration. His bigger issue is that he's got a weight problem and it's not doing him any favors at the hot corner. But ... eh, conditioning can be worked on at his age.

I still think a camera dead over home plate could help a lot of things.
Cameras, and the system then sends a signal to the umpire.
Unfortunately, the technology still has a very long way to go.
Also, a camera directly over home plate would almost certainly benefit pitchers who work from the top to the bottom of the strike zone and ding corner-nibblers who pitch for soft contact like Kyle Hendricks.

I'm OK with the bang-bang calls in the field being reviewed, or homerun calls etc., but each strike being read by a computer?
I'm not sure I'm for it. Humans ARE part of this game you know...
I'm not philosophically opposed to an AI-judged strike zone, because jackasses like Cowboy Joe West, CB Bucknor and Angel Hernandez are around, and people who insist that blown strike calls are a Good and Necessary part of the game confuse me (since the intent should be to get calls right as close to 100 percent of the time as possible).
My issue is that the tech just isn't there yet and probably has at least a few years to go before it's even close to being ready.
I think part of it is that it gives us something to talk about. Taking umpires pretty much out of the game will kill a lot of great conversations.
