"Superman & Lois Lane" flying to The CW

This would make Lois Lane probably the only supporting character in a superhero franchise to get a TV series named after her twice.

Well, I guess THIS Superman isn't going to die in Crisis.
Cool. I like Tyler as Superman.
But, given my increasing boredom of the Arrowverse, I doubt I'll check it out. A firm maybe.

I'm pretty bored with much of the Arrowverse at this point, too, but this isn't about that. It's about these specific characters, the greatest the genre ever produced. They transcend the Arrowverse.

Wow, I wonder if the means one of the other shows is in danger. I can't see them adding two more shows after adding one and losing one. If it came down to this or Green Arrow and the Canaries, I'd vote for this.
I would be happy to see this if it happens, I really like Hoechlin and Tulloch.

It was inevitable really. Though given it's increasingly poor ratings does this mean the end for 'Supergirl'?

If there's a God...

Unfortunately, the producers already used up Supe's rogues gallery because they couldn't think of anybody new for SG to fight.

Eh. Not if the show is the same tone, some character types--hey, look, here's the tech support guy/gal--the same soapy elements, the same character has to make stupid decisions in order for their power to not just wrap up the story (*looks over at the Flash*).

It's all about the execution. And it doesn't look like they want to change the nature and tone of their shows. And why would they? They've been successful. They have just stopped being engaging fo rme.

Superman and Lois Lane are great characters, but, again, it's in the execution. Not every run of in comics was great, not every movie was great, not every show is going to be great just because these characters are in them.

If this show is done with similar tones as The Flash, it could work. The best parts of Supergirl was when they borrowed from Superman. They just need to keep it a superhero show and get the right writing team. That's the hard part for them. And I don't think they should have a Team Superman either, since he works alone for the most part. He should be a true leader--a hero's hero. Write him like the icon he is, and they will have a hit. Write him like they did in Elseworlds and on Supergirl (except for the first appearance) and they won't.

And give him the red tights back.

Which clearly means we need a new AGENT CARTER series as well. :)
I'd go for that. I'm still disappointed it was cancelled after only two short seasons.

If this Superman show does happen, I hope they give Tyler a different suit. I hate the one he's worn on SUPERGIRL. And I hope it has the red trunks.

My buzz is invulnerable to your attempts to kryptonite it.

Legends of Tomorrow has been on the bubble of cancellation the last couple years and I can't see the Flash going more than another year or so.

What if The CW wants Arrowverse year round (like CBS All Access wants out of the Star Trek franchise)?

This series doesn't sound like a superhero show; it sounds like a family drama that uses Lois and Clark as lead characters.

As long as They schedule it that way...2 to 3 shows per season (3 viewing seasons per year)... That is the max for me. I havent kept up with Supergirl or Batwoman for that reason

This is my last season of watching the Flash. It's worn out it's welcome for me. It's just gotten so... eh, I've said it over in the Flash thread, no reason to repeat it here.

Great! I don't mean to say people shouldn't watch it, I'm glad it's being developed, I like Tyler, but, I'm sort meh on the arrowverse personally.

Considering they'll be handling a super-toddler, the supporting cast should be rather different, like a super-nanny at the very least... :p

The super nanny will also be good with computers and inventing things.
