Timo, I did not check MA, because I did not expect a quick update. 99 Pegasi is fictional, which is too bad. A little work and they could have found a DS star that is real.

Well, there's been a few episodes where our characters start transforming into aliens thru various means, but then the climax of the episode is reversing it. If "Pike's Enterprise" becomes a show, it'll have a redo of "Identity Crisis" with Colt in the Geordi role, only this time the transformation will take.
I didn't even bother to quantify it. Utterly light-weight, but I liked it a lot.

I think most of these are, by very definition and intent, "utterly light-weight." So, I judge them on that basis. I don't expect "Doomsday Machine" or "Best of Both Worlds" out of a 15 min limited-budget/limited cast installment. They're basically webisodes. So, that's the criteria by which I judge them.
So far, most of them have been good on that basis!
I hate the turboshaft. Can't understand how it goes from this to the version in Star trek 5, different ship or not. although, I felt the boosting her up scene was a shout out to that movie.

STar Trek 5's depiction was ridiculous too. I think the best depiction on screen was in "Disaster" TNG.
The best depction of how turboshafts probably work was in Plinkett's review for 2009 Star Trek.
It was too tall, but not really ridiculous. It all looked functional and aesthetically proper. It just had too many levels.
What's the problem? That's 100% consistent with canon, where beaming within the ship is dangerous prior to the TNG era.
Yeah I know.. but I would have been more fine with it if they just mentioned it. Just on a storytelling level this episode had four sets total, and one was a room where things are teleported

Well they told a good story here.
It did remind of the singing in Insurrection, that was probably the best scene in that movie.

To be 100% inconsistent with canon means to be inconsistent.
It was a 15 minute short shot with minimal budget and the actors were called back about 3 weeks after they'd finished the shooting of Season 2 (they were asked and re-contracted after the wrap of S2 for the shorts.):Watching the short for the second time.
Thoughts:
Ethan Peck is not Spock. Bad wig, bad ears, marginal acting.
Number One just doesn't seem believable.
I think they were trying for some kind of sexual tension. Unsuccessful, in my opinion. Forced.
Peck's wig moved in the "boost" part. Several times.
Notes:
If you're doing a main character Vulcan, commit to it and cut the actor's hair. No more obviously fake wigs.
Please fix the collars on the uniforms. They don't lay right and look ridiculous.

Acting wise they both were at the same level they were during ST: D S2. I think they did about the same; and I lied that teh script included Spock yelling, smiling and outright laughing as he's NOT the Spock we know/get under Kirk and TOS.
Yeah, the wig was ill fitting, but they don't have much of a budget for these and for all 3 I'd be surprised if they spent more than a day or two total shooting those scenes, so I'll cut them and Ethan Peck a break on that score.
The uniforms were the same as in S2 too - so yeah, I've never cared for the Asymmetrical collar; but it's something the costume designer seems to like and it's what it is.
lastly, I'm in 100% agreement. I'm sick and tired of all the old timey Gilbert & Sullivan stuff. I didn't like it when they had Picard singing stuff in Insurrection; and it's even worse here. I'd rather this bent be dropped if all they can do is stuff in Public Domain that they don't need to pay a royalty fee for.
