News Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, and Jedi Academy coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4

I loved online dueling in JKII. There was a slow power move with the lightsaber that would absolutely destroy your opponent if you could manage to land it on them.

I fantasize about hacking Jedi Academy so that the multiplayer skins can be used in the single-player campaign.

Used to play Outcast a lot, never got into Academy, still have the original game, but have since bought them all on GoG, even have them on Steam when they had a sale years ago.

Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight is where most of my early multiplayer experiences are at. MSN Gaming Zone and GameSpy was a lot of fun. The old Massassi Temple website had what seemed like endless custom MAPS.

I have compatibility issues with Jedi Knight, most is from the FMV cutscenes.

There a ton of fan made skins for Jedi Academy's multiplayer back in the day. I wonder if they'll offer and official ones as DLC? I would love to get some of the newer characters like Ahsoka, Rey, Kanan, or Ezra.

I never played either console version back in the day. The whole idea of using a controller just seemed a bit odd to me. The same holds true for KOTOR even though the console versions did technically come out first.

But, I dunno, I think I might try it.

I think KOTOR works better on a controller than the Jedi Knight games because it can be played almost turn based. It isn't an action game.

I prefer keyboard and mouse for FPS. I have a hard time playing any FPS with a controller. The original Dark Forces was released before the WASD layout became standard, so going back to that game was difficult. Thankfully the Steam version has updated the control layout.

Never had an issue with KotR on Xbox.

I'm very much a console person, so I'll take a controller over a keyboard any day. The only times I've played games on a PC is when it was a game I really wanted to play and it wasn't on a console I owned.
