STO Kelvin Warbird/D7 size?

F. King Daniel

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
It's come to my attention that the Kelvin timeline Klingon Warbird/D7 is part of Star Trek Online now. I was just curious as to her size? Since everything else Kelvin is scaled up, and Discovery's ships and their version of the D7 have been too, I'm curious how big it is.

Thanks.

It isn't in the game yet, it's coming out next Tuesday.
I'll try to do a size comparison, or ask the ship lead.

For the DSC D7 they weren't given a size by CBS, so they scaled it up to match the DSC Connie, so if CBS didn't give them a size for Kelvin D7, they'll probably do the same and scale it to match the Kelvin Connie.

Here you go. STO uses 750 for the Discovery and 725 for the Kelvin Connie for reference.

Well again, we don't know if CBS gave them any numbers. They didn't give Eaglemoss a size either (or at least they didn't put one on the cover), so they might not have an 'official' one. So this could be a guesstimate by Cryptic's ship team.

I suspect they went by the bridge window size. The model has far smaller windows than the TOS/TMP versions (even though it is literally the TMP Klingon ship with parts added and a reskin), and the concept art had loads more tiny windows all over which may or may not be on the original movie CG.

The ILM model:

It's the Mirror Universe Neg'Var of D7's.

Here's the Kelvin as well for the hell of it.

Looks like they went with the 655 Meter figure from 2007, instead of the 457.2 meters figure from 2008 shown on the DVD special features.
