Post a Random Fact About Yourself

I have to read a newspaper first, I cannot read a newspaper after someone else has read it, not even the advertisements. I have a very deliberate method to how I take a newspaper apart, which sections I read first and then put it back together like it was never read.
You still read a physical newspaper?

I prefer to read actual books to electronic ones.

I think I do, as well. The only real benefit to electronic books is when I'm reading a VERY long and heavy book, like the hardback edition I bought of "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell." It was about 1000 pages with all the footnotes, and I had to lug that thing around with me everywhere, because I loved it so much. However, when I'm reading at night, I find the e-book experience less enjoyable--not quite sure why. Maybe it's the lighting or the way I have to hold the tablet. It's just not as pleasant an experience as holding a paperback in my hands.

I always try to turn the page when I read an e-book. 52 years of reading paper books creates habits that are hard to overcome.
e-books are rather handy when on a vacation or in hospital, though. You can take the contents of a whole bookcase with you =)

Many many years ago when I worked in hospital pharmacies, I used to sing the drug names as I filled the floor carts. Zovirax was sung in place of "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys. Hydrochlorothiazide was sung to The William Tell Overture. Those are the only two that I remember now. No loss...

the formal part is, I presume, those sub-fora that deal with everything Trek-ish.
Great minds, Delta Vega - I post almost exclusively at Misc and in the Lounges as they are the friendliest parts of the board. And occasionally I can't resist to give my opinion in the Science forum if there's a biological topic (or maths, physics, IT or astronomy).
Random fact: I had to repeat one year at school due to bad results in maths and Latin. Later, I took Latin as one of my 4 required A-levels and I'm now doing maths for fun =)
