If "Picard" is going to be part of the Abrams' Kelvinverse, then I'm not too interested in watching it, just as I haven't watched Discovery. I'm not up on what's going on in fandom, but is there any movement for Paramount/CBS to provide shows based on the Prime timeline?

It's not Kelvinverse, it's Jean-Luc Prime. Crisis averted.

Discovery's not in the Kelvin Timeline.

And Romulus was destroyed in 2387 in the Prime Timeline, which Picard takes place after.

    Fin.

Yup. Romulus be gone in the Prime.

Then Spock and Nero were thrown back in time and changed it into the Kelvin and the two diverge from that moment.

But Romulus is still gone in the Prime.

Perhaps you SHOULD watch the shows.
(you do apparently claim to be a Star Trek Fan)

Then you can make up your own mind, instead of relying on other people's interpretations.

Also, you'll find as you go through life that having an open mind about most things, in general is a much pleasanter way to live.

Then you should have no problem with this. Enterprise, Discovery, the original series, The Next Generation, Deep Space nine, Voyager and Picard all take place in the same, original prime-time line.

"Prime" or not makes no difference. Continuity isn't a thing in this franchise anymore. STP will have no relation to The Next Generation or its spin offs.

Except, of course, Picard, his vineyard, the Romulans, the Borg, Captain Picard Day, Seven of Nine, Data...y'know, practically everything we've seen so far.

STD made lots of references, too. In the context of the finished product, every single one of those references ends up being dead wrong and proves that none of the writers ever actually watched the thing they referenced.

    Same will be true here.

It's funny how often people who make up their own acronym also like to make up everything else in their posts.
