Tessa Thompson will also return as Valkyrie and she teased that she'll be looking for her Queen (perhaps Jane?). Feige has confirmed that she'll have a LGBTQ storyline.
Natalie Portman holds up Mjonir: “It feels pretty good! https://twitter.com/_RyanGajewski/status/1152757272528867332
Oh I go to almost every movie. But I dunno why anyone would get excited about those two coming back. I can't remember anything either of them did in previous movies
Didn't Natalie Portman said that she never wanted to make another Thor movie? I am curious about the movie, will they build another Asgard in space and will Sif be back?
I imagine a combination of the Lady Thor storyline and a new director (for her since she wasn't in Ragnarok) convinced her otherwise.
Maybe that’s not on the movie. I remember Valkyrie being a great foil for Thor, and interesting storyline of a warrior trying to get over a great loss. Glad she’s back.
While I expected Marvel Studios to use Jane Foster Thor at some point, I never expected Natalie Portman to be the one to play her as Foster-as-Thor doesn't look like Foster. I figured they would recast with someone like Kathryn Winnick to play Foster Thor.
I imagine getting to play the hero instead of the hero's girlfriend was a big part in getting Portman back...and the money probably helped. I mean at least in 'Thor' she actually had something to do, but in TDW she was pretty much the McGuffin with next to no agency from act two onwards. As for Valkyrie getting a queen...while it would be hilarious to see how they play off the new King of Asgard dating the old King of Asgard's ex, I kinda think Carol would be a better fit.
It's probably still right where Hela left it. I mean even shattered into half a dozen pieces I wouldn't be surprised if the enchantment holds and nobody can move it...until Jane comes along! No I don't think it'll be quite that simple, but at the same time the pieces still exist and there's at least one Dwarf left who could conceivably reforge it. Spoiler: Endgame I also totally buy that Thor totally forgot about it in the five years he spent on the couch.
I'm sure the frog formerly known as Simon Walterson was worthy of at least one little shard of Mjolnir...
Wooohooo!!!!!! Jane being cut from the MCU after The Dark World was really frustrating for me, so to not only get Natalie back but to also have her become Lady Thor makes me super-happy.
Works for me. Perhaps Jane spent the five years after the Snap trying to locate and reassemble the missing pieces, with or without Thor's coach potato guidance.
