Non-Trek Warp Ship

Going thru a bin of 1980s and early 1990s notebooks of mine. Lots of old doodles, including of some ship ideas. So I decided to make one of them in Sketch Up.

Ive settled on a length of 808m and decided to add a ring like warp system. I remember drawing this one in 1980 something. The 3 tanks had something to do with where I imagined fuel would be stored, among other things. In these pics, there is an inter-universe meeting with the 1701. (Obtained from the 3D Warehouse, by "TheStuc71").

Until you slapped that ring on the end it looked like it belonged to the DY series, perhaps a DY-1000 or DY-!500. Looks good either way.

I love what you are doing :)
Just a thought, the shape without the ring would be a great Klingon first warp ship ...that shape is killer.

Ty! I usually add ring-like structures to the non-trek Warp ships on the basis of a vaguely Alcubierre-like inspiration, which can live in other universes. Taking a crack at the first Klingon warp ship is not a bad idea tho.

Ive made some Early, pre-warp interplanetary ships before. Never tried to make a DY-series, but I will get to one of those. The ones I have made are different, usually with rotational crew section, continuous 1g, antimatter powered, to get around need for sleeper chambers, weightless environments. But I will get a DY-100 done for sure. One of my fave Trek designs.
