Android OS issues...

Just ran into a big data issue while in a gym/raid in Pokemon Go... ended up using near 70mbs yesterday... around 50mbs of that was from the Android OS (which isn't normal) and 13mbs from Pokemon Go (which is normal from it). This is just untenable. I just checked and it seems to be related to the GPS... and that never used so much data in one go before.

Just checked the Android OS history on my phone and there's something screwed up on it...

Mar - April - 1.94mb used

April - May - 4.14mb used

May - June - 4.97mb used

Those are all normal.

Then here comes June - July

49.02mb used (at one time)

Something is screwed up there on Google's end.

Checked my settings and they're the same as always. I have my updates limited to wifi only and non-automatic. So I'm at a loss as to the huge uptick in its data usage.

The phone I'm using is an LG G6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Pokemon Go? Are you making this post in 2016?
 No. I still get enjoyment out of it. Honestly. Along with some good exercise. :)

That said, before this data drain, the biggest drain by Android OS was 15mbs. This most recent one threw me for a loop.

I have limited data so this kind of issue isn't good. Especially when it comes out of nowhere.

It isn't a good thing for my phone, whether I'm playing a game or not. It's why I'm trying my best to try to stop it from happening again, if at all possible.

i have a 16 gig memory and 32 gig card.. if I empty and delete everything in my inboard 16 gig ... the stuff it lets me see is on the phone I have less then 1.5 gig of memory left out of 16 there is nothing more I can delete :( it is ok though for a free phone ..

anyway I have 2 friends currently playing pokemon go IDK how to play but yeah it is still getting hits as it is.
