Happy Father's Day...

Farscape One

By absolute coincidence, the next episode of DS9 my wife and I watched was "IN THE CARDS". She pointed out it was a great Father's Day episode, and she's right.

So I wanted to wish all the dads on this board, Happy Father's Day!

(And I just realized, a VOYAGER episode that can be a Father's Day one is "INNOCENCE", since Tuvok acts as caretaker of those kids, despite then being actually very old in age.) :)

Of course, most Star Trek characters usually have issues with their fathers. In fact, aside from the Siskos and Worf being on good terms with his adoptive dad, is there anyone in Star Trek who has a living father that there aren't issues?

I guess Trelane doesn't count? Can't really blame his dad for wanting him to play nice with his toys.

Then on this day I will pride myself on being a better father than Worf, Sarek, Rom, Richard Bashir, Dr. Mora, Enabran Tain, Dukat, Q, and Jack Crusher.

I seem to recall Paris, Torres, and even Janeway having issues with their dads as well.

That being said, Geordi's dad seemed okay.

Miles O'Brien seemed like a decent dad. Kolopak wasn't bad either -- he and young Chakotay clashed, but young Chakotay was a bit of a handful.
