And the Next Cancelled Show is...

the defence of the renewal by cbs is pretty pathetic.

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/entertain...-back-for-season-4/ar-AABoNSJ?ocid=spartandhp

"michael make a mistake"

bullshit.

One is a mistake more than once becomes a pattern.

the harassment of Eliza Dushku wasn't a one off of thing
And if you hear that just after CBS announced the renewal, Steven Spielberg and Amblin have walked away from the show, it is more than just a onenoff. As the saying goes, no smoke without fire :(

Really annoyed about this one. My partner and I had just got into this over here in the UK. Saw the adverts, thought it's really funny, and we've just binge watched the first two seasons via Sky. :(

I don't watch it but I've heard the last episode did bring some closure, so there is at least that.

Me too. It was a very emotional ending but quite good at the same time. The post-show retrospective was interesting as well. Never really knew how the sets were oriented in relation to each other. Quite an impressive production.

I thought TBBT was pretty unspectacular. I especially hated that we didn’t find out Penny’s last name AND they made her pregnant. After she was adamant about not wanting kids she gets knocked up and suddenly she wants kids? The writers did the same thing to Bernadette, thus enforcing the stereotype that all women will change their minds. It made me feel so frustrated!

Yeah, I found that bothersome, especially as someone who doesn't want children myself. The idea that "oh, you'll change your mind" is incredibly annoying. Apparently she changed her mind instantly upon learning she was pregnant? Just weird and unnecessary.

I don't really know what I was expecting from the finale, but I didn't find it very fulfilling. It was like watching just another episode, it didn't feel particularly emotional or special to me. Oh well.

I never minded not knowing Penny's last name. Going back quite a few years to a show called Quincy, M.E. staring Jack Klugman as a Los Angeles coroner and ran from 1976 to 1983. His first name was never given, although a business card was shown to say "Dr. R. Quincy."

TBBT’s showrunners believe this was the best way to “honor” Penny and provide good closure.
I love them together and I wanted to know that they were ending in a happy place.

Because we all know couples can't be happy without children.:sigh:

9 months without drinking?

Pull the other one.

Penny is lying.

She's going to make make Leonard feel good that she is willing to adopt his point of view, then duck out for an abortion when he isn't looking.

Then when he says "Lets try again" she will fake-cry "Oh NO! No, the (emotional) pain of losing Abigail, is too much, I can never have another baby!"

The real genius of the family, thank you.

Makes me glad I never bothered with that show beyond the one episode I watched. I don't know what season it was or even what it was about, but I do remember hating the whole experience.

Isn't Leonard and Penny having a baby together just a re-hash of the basis for that old appliance commercial, anyway? #VisualReboot
