Spoilers Game of Thrones: The Final Season

^ There's a difference between not seeking spoilers out and ignoring them once they've been circulated, as the latter comes across - to me at least - as "sticking one's head in the sand".

Yeah, that's like.... obvious?

Let me guess... the series ends with Jon and Daeny in a boat and some random never-before-seen aliens hit them with a disintegration beam while Davos, Tyrion, and Sansa look on in horror from atop Drogon?

Guess we'll have to hope for a miniseries in a few years to wrap it up.

(No I don't really wanna know, thanks)

(Unless it really is that, you can tell me if it's that)

Why do so many people seem to be ignoring the spoiler leaks?

It's not like they're difficult to find.

The series does not end well for anyone
.

Because we don't want to be spoiled and I will ask you to refrain from talking about them without spoiler codes over them, which includes the last sentence you made in your post (that I've hidden in my quote and you should edit in your post!.)

STFU!

What kind of question is that, seriously?

A legitimate one... especially when there is concrete outrage and backlash actively building over the contents of the spoilers that have been leaked and said spoiler leaks have been circulated in this very thread.

No there isn't. It's only you. Post articles. Lots of articles that prove it. Otherwise, you're making shit up to push your own opinion as something larger than it actually is.

We discuss the episodes after they aired and anything other gets put behind a Spoiler Wall. The forum has been very clear on such matters since you joined in 2001 so observe the standing rules. I've avoided ALL spoilers for this season quite easy and many here have done the same.

Your desire to be a selfish troll won't be tolerated so buzz off. (Blocked now so I don't have to risk the chance of your moronic behaviour ruin my viewing of a show I deeply love).

I don’t browse thousands of different Game of Thrones sources, I simply want to watch the show and discuss it as it occurs. If people want to seek out spoilers for some reason, that’s their prerogative, but it makes no sense at all to question why other people would “ignore” rumored spoiler leaks as if they’re somehow common knowledge.

Stop acting like such a pompous know it all; in just over a week we’ll all see it anyway and judge for ourselves what we think.

It's just so 'funny' how you were oh-so-superior and dismissive whenever anybody else complained about the direction of the show (Night King before Cersei as the most recent example) but now that you're the one upset you're happy to ruin the experience - positive or negative - for anybody else. That's a childish attitude.

Aside from the silly question about spoilers. I'd caution you that the showrunners have said that the actors think they know how the series ends, but they don't. They've used deception.

I wouldn't be so certain about those spoilers. They might not be correct. I don't know what they are. Although, now I'm kind of hoping they're true just to see you freak out! I'll have the popcorn ready!

And, given the nature of Game of Thrones, a series that killed off its star who was a good at heart character in the first season, did you really to have a happy ending? Really? Bittersweet is probably optimistic.

Pay attention!

Because I don't want to read it as text on a page, I want to see it as the producers, writers and actors intended it so that I see it in context? And here's a thought.... I might like it. I liked the series finale of Lost. I liked the series finale of BSG. Online outrage means not a fig and is not going to make me undercut the story being presented to me to see why a bunch of whiny people are being whiny. Some people don't like Captain Marvel. Some people don't like Endgame. Some people don't like Discovery. Some people don't like Star Wars The Last Jedi. Some people don't like Solo, all things that I like. Why should I care about those people?

As far as the ending, here is what I am expecting (and PLEASE don't be a dick and confirm anything based on whatever spoilers you know:
Dany - Dead. Probably killed by Jon or Arya, probably because she goes to town on King's Landing.
Jon - Alive, probably does not take the throne. Probably kills Dany. Stays in Winterfell or goes North beyond the wall.
Tyrion - Tough one, 50/50, but if I were to make a call, dead. Not sure how.
Cersei - Dead, probably by either Jamie or Arya.
Jamie - Dead with Cersei, if he does not kill her, he dies defending her.
The Hound - Dead. Already came back once, is a bit of a bastard, probably dies killing the Mountain.
Varys - Dead. He is moving against Dany, and that is a sure death sentence. Usually by a mobile barbecuing.
Arya - Not sure, possibly advising whoever is on the throne?
Sansa - Lives, possibly on the throne.
And I am fine with any or all of that. If every character except The Hound died I would be ok with it. This is a brutal series, and they set up that the good guys die when they lopped off Ned's head, and killed not only Robb, but his PREGNANT WIFE at the Red Wedding. I have no illusion that ANYONE will get a happy ending here, and if you did, you just weren't paying attention to the show.

- Though I have sought out spoilers in the past, I have deliberately chosen to avoid them in this final season because I was a little disappointed about finding out in advance about the Night King getting a dragon last season. I had speculated on it being a possibility even before the spoilers, but to have it confirmed in advance kind of ruined the surprise for me.

- You are an unfortunate combination of being incredibly pompous and incredibly gullible at the same time. You act like God's gift to writing yet can't recognize basic plot cues that everyone else sees coming a mile away, and are easily led down a false path by believing everything you read. So you are the most unreliable source of information possible for spoilers, and since I'm not going to read them and verify them for myself, I remain highly skeptical of you and your ability to discern between reputable spoilers and bullshit.

- You appear to be in the middle of a Category 5 Meltdown where you're personally disappointed by the direction of the series and the possible direction of the spoilers to come, so instead of letting others enjoy the show or be disappointed on their own terms as the show unfolds you've just said "Fuck it, I'm going to make everyone else wallow in misery with me" and are determined to ruin things for people. Screw that. Either control yourself or get lost from the thread.

No, there's no difference, that is exactly the same thing. And you don't get to dictate how people choose to read spoilers or not read them at all. Why is every discussion about you forcing your viewpoint (usually derived from unquestioningly following the showrunners or a website's viewpiont) on everyone else?

A legitimate one... especially when there is concrete outrage and backlash actively building over the contents of the spoilers that have been leaked and said spoiler leaks have been circulated in this very thread.
Circulated by you, against other's express wishes.

And why the hell should I care about some randos and their outrage? I care about how I feel about the show.
