Reminds a bit of Spider-Men.I think this is new, Earth is name-checked as 616,.and Mysterio claims to be from 833
I love how Peter nerds out about multiverse theory and both Fury and Hill give him "whatever" looks.
Apparently Earth-833 already exists in the comics.
Its where Spider-Man UK is from.
The Spiderverse was a lot of fun. Every single version of Spider-Man shows up or is referenced. Even the comic strip version, the one from the Electric Company and the old 60s cartoon one. The live-action Japanese version with the giant robot is a major part. There’s also a bunch of new ones, the most famous being Spider-Gwen who is a major character now.So I see. I haven't read Marvel comics in a very long time (still bitter about the Clone Saga and Norman Osborne and all of...that) so I'm very much out of the loop on things like that. But I always had a passing interest in Captain Britain so that premise does sound cool.
I might have to give that one a read. Especially if the library has it...The Spiderverse was a lot of fun. Every single version of Spider-Man shows up or is referenced. I'm highly skeptical. There's nothing worse than bitter nostalgia. The Ultimate line was good too. They redid the Clone Saga and made it work.
They cut it down to five issues and it tied into some other arcs that had been established already. One of the major elements was Oscorp trying to recreate the experiment that originally created Spider-Man, but constantly failing. This lead to Green Goblin and most of the classic villains. The clones were a spinoff of that because various groups were trying to create superpowered people for various reasons, it’s actually a bit of an arms race. It actually had a lasting impact on the series and introduced two characters who were major parts of the Ultimate universe until it was destroyed along with the original 616 universe. The Ultimate line tried to make everything have an impact, characters stayed dead, huge events had major consequences and nothing really got retconed. Some of it seems to be the basis for the MCU, especially Spider-Man who has a younger Aunt May who knows he’s Spider-Man and is completely supportive. She later takes in Iceman and Johnny Storm after the X-Men disband for mostly being dead and the Fantastic Four disband after Reed Richards has enough of his ideas being rejected and tries to replace the population with his new master race of genetically engineered humans. He wiped out most of Europe before being stopped. He’s now a villain in the current Marvel universe being one of the few survivors of that universe.I might have to give that one a read. Especially if the library has it...

I think there are a few collections, it was a pretty big crossover. It does look good.
Unfortunately, I looked up the collected edition for the series and apparently the ordering in it is incoherent and far from chronological, and possibly incomplete. Lame.
Yeah, the chronology is confusing but not incoherent. I have m y volume tabbed with sticky notes in order to read in the proper order. In fairness, a lot of the stuff towards the back of the volume isn't really necessary to the main story, but it does give context. It does look good.

If you need sticky notes to find the proper reading order, then it's incoherent.Yeah, the chronology is confusing but not incoherent. Look into your local library. They might have access to a digital app called Hoopla, which has the entire Spider-Verse saga collected, along with tons and tons of other digital comics, all at your fingertips, free and legal. It does look good.

Ah, thanks for the tip. One of my oldest friends works for my county library system so I'll ask him about it. He's directly responsible for many of the comics and graphic novels now available (including those he's gotten me to read).Look into your local library. Source: Me. I work at a library.
I like Mysterio and Hydro-Man but I don't want to see them wasted.
I also don't like that this movie refers to, probably directly connects to (I read that it starts right after), Infinity War (which I think in turn requires that you have seen Ragnarok)/Endgame, good sequels in a series, and even much more so in a whole universe-franchise, should be a lot more able to be seen on their own.
