Things that frustrate us all

I was thinking last night about how much my own POV has changed in the last decade. This BB has actually been a large part of that. I was raised by extremely fundamental Christians. I knew what I thought I believed in and was surprised when people here didn’t agree with my clearly superior opinions. A lot of posters here patiently and carefully explained their experiences opinions and pints of view. And they had charts. Gawd they had charts. And facts and studies and links to a thousand articles written by experts in their fields.

Tl;dr - I’m humbled amazed and grateful to so many of you for sharing your experiences and points of view.

Whatever your religion is, I'm really happy to know you as a friend so I'm very glad you were able to open up to new possibilities. :)

I hate it when less than two year old electronic stuff like smartphones and notebooks are labelled as too old or stop functioning appropriately. They keep on telling you to buy new stuff. Am I a cash cow that dumps money????? WTF? :wtf:

Planned obsolescence. It should be illegal, but manufacturers will point to companies of the past that have put themselves out of business with products that were too good and lasted too long that no one needed to buy them anymore. :(

Something is pooping on my veg patch.

:censored:

As much as I hate this, I think I'm going to skip a meeting I want to go to tonight. It's a 45-minute drive and I don't want to aggravate my neck, especially since my car is a 5-speed.

I'm also worried that I've upset a couple of friends. I hope not.

My current mobile phone is something like 6 years old, I can still browse the web on it send texts and make calls. Sure it might not have all the latest apps but it serves my needs just fine.

Ditto. - In my case, it's a Motorola Moto G (version 1 and from the end of 2013 so closer to five and a bit years). There's newer versions (with 4g for example) but so far, it's been perfectly adequate for my needs and does run the apps I need. Don't think it'll go much past Droid 5.1 on my current network (if any though)

My less than 10-month old laptop isn't recognising the hard drive. I hope it's not an HDD failure.
If it's that new it still falls under the waranty, hence you should contact the manufacturer and bring it to a professional they recommend.
Normally, I'd advise checking the HDD's sockets - it's propably just a lose connection - but if you open the device yourself during the first 2 years the waranty ends instantly.
