Yes, but we never knew how he felt about clean Klingon blood though...

So what? His commander was demanding he be returned alive, & this was the only way that would be possible. First of all, this man is potentially guilty of criminal espionage. His superiors are being belligerent about his return. The whole thing has the potential to blow up in one way or another, & whatever is to happen, this buttwipe is FAR more valuable alive than dead, either as a peace offering, an interrogation subject or as leverage, regardless of what his personal bigoted wishes are.But the Romukan said that he didn't want filty Klingon blood anyway.![]()

He gets our life saving medical treatment, whether he wants it or not, because patient's rights are out the stinking window here, because he is not just a patient, & his intent is to endanger us with his dying wish. He gave up the right to his personal wishes & a fair amount of his liberty, when he broke treaties, engaged in espionage, & had a douchebag superior trying to save face by threatening us over him. He is in custody.
If I'm captain, I just order it be done. Neither officer, ours nor theirs has the liberty to jeopardize lives over their personal prejudices
Plus, if anything should have woken Worf up about his own prejudice, it should've been this other man willing to die over his. I don't often give Riker much credit, but that moment is when Worf should've thought about exactly what Riker was saying to him. Besides, when a man looks at you with hate and tells you the greater offense to him between dying and accepting your help, is the latter? Then the better comeuppance imho is to help him & make him live with the fact that you did. It's literally the ultimate "Fuck you", & way more of a fitting revenge than letting him die with his ideology unchallenged
