Speaking of Trek/Orville actors, we should acknowledge Penny Jerald's villainous turn on "24."

James Frain had a great role in a 1995 BBC costume drama series called 'The Buccaneers'. That's what I first remember seeing him in. Still convinced he would have sounded better as Sarek using his real English accent instead of his fake American one...

And for you Disney fans, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner, Nichelle Nichols, Avery Brooks, Colm Meaney, LeVar Burton and Kate Mulgrew all lent their voices to Gargoyles.

And let's not forget Urban as Cupid on HERCULES.

And Jeri Ryan was fun (and very unlike Seven) as a recurring con-woman character on LEVERAGE.

I enjoyed her character on Leverage quite a bit, and my sister & nephews liked the show, too, when they watched it with me awhile back via Netflix.

Howling Mad Murdock, Dwight Schultz's zany character in The A-Team.

Leonard Nimoy as the Great Paris in Mission: Impossible. There was a good number of actors who had guest appearances in both M:I and TOS, iirc.

TJ Hooker with William Shatner. He was just as hammy as Hooker. I recall Nimoy was a guest star in an episode.

Armin Shimerman as Principal Synder in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as other posters have already mentioned.

Colm Meaney as a theater owner in Will, a one season series about William Shakespeare that aired a few years ago on TNT.

Colm Meaney - Stargate Atlantis, Hell on Wheels, Law & Order, L & O: Criminal Intent, The Murdoch Mysteries (There appears to be two, which I didn't know, this one appears to only have one season while the other one is currently on S13 and has Yannick Bisson in it)

Anson Mount - Hell on Wheels, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Dollhouse, Smallville, Third Watch (AH I need to re-watch this).

I guess Levar Burton in Roots counts

& I think I actually liked Terry Farrell better in her role on Ted Danson's Becker

Has anybody seen that Patrick Stewart show Blunt Talk? I'm not sure if I want to

I was amazed watching MI for the first time time that, considering the name of the lead character and how the bodies can pile up in that show, it took till almost Nimoy's last episode for them to slip in a gag of him saying "He's dead, Jim".

Shatner, Nimoy, Doohan and Takei all appeared in The Twilight Zone(original series) Both Shatner and Nimoy(and Walter Koenig) appeared in Columbo. Nimoy's episode is a particular favorite of mine. It is one of the few episodes where Columbo get's mad at the suspect.

He briefly mentions that part in the new DS9 documentary, in the context to comparing it to his role as Odo.

Before any of them appeared on Trek, four Trek actors played in a Christmas special, Roots: The Gift. LeVar Burton reprised his Roots role as Kunte Kinte, Avery Brooks was a heroic freed slave and Underground Railroad "conductor," Kate Mulgrew was a villainous bounty hunter, and Tim Russ had a small role as a dignified house slave.

Are we talking shows as cast members or appearances? I loved Levar Burton on Reading Rainbow, Rene Auberjonis on Benson, Johnathan Frakes on Beyond Belief, Brent Spiner on Threshold, Nichole De Boer on The Dead Zone, Alexander Siddig and James Frain on Gotham, Scott Bakula on Quantum Leap, Armin Shimmerman on Timeless, Zachary Quinto and George Takei on Heroes, Chris Pine on I am The Night, Robert Picardo on Home Improvement.
