Spoilers Game of Thrones: The Final Season

I think the only people who truly care about the common people are Davos, Gendry and Arya

Sansa and Tyrion cowering behind the alter while civilians were being slaughtered - I hope the both get their commupance.

Gendry and Arya as king and queen. Davos as hand (somehow)

Tyrion and Sansa have more than redeemed themselves. They were hiding in the crypt because dashing out and dying right away would help nobody.

Black and white morality only apply to “Zombies = Bad”. The rest of the time it applies almost as little as in the real world.

Gendry took up the banner of his royal birth on the wrong side of the blanket, eagerly. He knows what it's like to be common as does Davos. Davos though is very much into making sure he's a top adviser to a king, any king. Davos went shopping for both Jon and Gendry. Varys also knows common life, as does Melisandre. But as she said, they aren't common any more. Arya actually showed a concerned for common people, not just being about the butcher's boy. But in her service as a Faceless Man. But she has explicitly rejected that.

The only characters to consistently *do* things for common people are Daenerys and Jon.

I had thought that I had read that there were multiple Sansyrion action beats cut from the episode, but I guess there was only one scene that involved them kilking two Wights by sneaking up on them, although how that happened when neither of them had Dragonglass daggers is a mystery that makes me glad that they cut the sequence.

What would you have them do? Get killed too? That would really show those zombies!

Or you know, Sansa could have tried fighting to protect her people and die trying like a character who is a 10 year old girl did. It might have actually given this episode some genuine emotional stakes to have a main character die.

We did have main characters die; three of them, in fact: Theon, Jorah, and Melisandre.

Meh, I'll give you Jorah, but Theon became a secondary character at best and Melisandre doesn't even rate for me.

If an actor's name appears - or has appeared - in the series' opening credits, the character that actor plays or played is/was a main character, regardless of their importance to the story.
