Someone on Facebook notice that John's birth was registered on 27th may 1979 even though the certificate said he was born 3rd of June 1979.

That episode was incredible. So many twists. I was away all last week and happily managed to avoid all spoilers so I absolutely didn’t see the end coming. Really hard to see Lisa’s angle but UC-being-run-by-Ted would make sense.

Did anyone else notice that Ted and the other guy on the end of the line (if it is another guy - or indeed a guy) both wrote “definately”?

Nice continuity nod to season 1. Albeit a rather chilling one (sorry).

Well my idea that Ted was running Lisa seems to have gone out the window somewhat. If Ted is running some kind of elaborate sting operation then it's incredibly convoluted and he's doing a very good job of portraying a broken man!

Interesting to see where this ends up, suspect we might just have Ted being interviewed by Anna Maxwell Martin for 90 minutes next week!

^Though Ted’s initial “Lisa” in the club seemed rather familiar if they’re not supposed to have meant before.

I think Ted is not H and is not a criminal mastermind & is being framed, as he says, but I also think he did set Corbett up for assassination.

I don't think he wanted to get Corbett killed but can't workout if Ted is where he wants to be or if his undercover op gone way out of control.
People on Facebook think Liam going to join the police force, but I thought you have to go to university now to join up?

That's a good point, he did seem familiar with her. I fear Ted's goose is cooked, whether or not he's H. Which means either this is the last series, or AC12's getting a new boss. Not sure I can envisage the show without Dunbar to be honest.

Crikey didn't think of that! I think there are a variety of routes into the police, with both graduate and non graduate options.
I do wonder if Ted's plan was to make things so hot for Corbett that he did have to come in from the cold?

Not sure how I feel about the ending.
But someone on twitter checked Gill's car that she was using at the end and its not taxed. Sometimes I love the internet.:rommie:

Well, we're getting another season at least:)

With regards Gill, that wasn't a surprise to me if only because of the "narrowed down the culprit to the person I recognize":D
On the ending, it feels like they're still indicating that Hastings is dodgy.
As for the four people Cotton indicated, they're assuming that the ones they've caught, Cotton knew about all of them. What if he didn't?

Well that was a trifle preposterous, but that's Mercurio for you!

How did Steve spot Dot moving his fingers from a still image? And on the verge of death would someone think to go Morse code? Wouldn't it be easier to tuck his thumb in and waggle four fingers? Also quite convenient that John recorded that meeting with Gill (who might as well have 'wrong un' tattooed on her forehead.)

Do wonder about Ted. Would you really go to that much trouble because you’d watched some porn on your laptop? And the whole definately thing is sus. And his reaction when he found out Corbett was Anne Marie’s son spoke volumes. I wonder if he told Lee Banks there was a rat but didn’t specfify, and his intention was, as he’d intimated, to encourage John to bug out? That said I don’t see how he can be the fourth H unless none of them know each other.

Still enjoyed it, nobody writes tense interviews like Mercurio and it was nice to see Anna Maxwell Martin’s smug face fall, and especially nice to see her grumpy DI get her comeuppance (which is odd I know given they appear to be clean coppers!)

Not enough Steve and Kate in the finale but am genuinely glad there’s going to be another series.

Bumping this because I finally got to see series 5.

Holy CRAP, that was a rollercoaster. It was kind of obvious in the last two episodes that
    Gill
was up to no good but all the twists and turns to get there were a really fun ride.

I wish that Steve got more screen time and I got a bit pissed off at Hastings; he *clearly* wanted Steve to shoot the guy because of what was done to his poor ex-wife. But, on the other hand, his weeping when he found out the cop's true identity was just heartbreaking.
