2-0 Columbus halfway through period no. 2. Too late for the Lightning not to be embarrassed.

Tampa is one period away from the brink of elimination. Who would have thought that two weeks ago. I'm rooting for Columbus.

Hurricanes won the game and lost the fight - Ovechkin knocked out Andre Svechnikov. Andre challenged Ovechkin and learned the age-old lesson of "be careful what you wish for." Tonight the Penguins and Lightning could both be eliminated.

It's already 2-0 Columbus with only 5 minutes gone in the first period. Tampa is as good as dead, I think.

With all the choke jobs the Sharks have had, it doesn't come close to what Tampa just did. I'm absolutely amazed at how awesome Columbus was in that series.

As soon as Columbus won game 2, this result felt almost inevitable. The Lightning simply weren't prepared for the fight they got. Of course it didn't help that Hedman was injured.

Let's not forget the Pens either. Swept for the first time in 30 years. They won two Cups back to back, but they're paying for that success now with an ageing core and thin defense.

Since the Blackhawks missed the playoffs, we adopted Vegas and Columbus for the duration.

With the amount of hockey they've played over the last 6 seasons, they're probably exhausted. Same thing happened to Chicago

They definitely need to do something this offseason though to retool - perhaps trading Malkin is an option

Hurricanes vs. Capitals coming right up. Wouldn't it be wild if Carolna won this series!? This Cup playoff season is already amazing, but this would top it off.

These playoffs feel like we're living in the upside down. Lightning swept. Penguins Swept. Calgary lost. St. Louis beat Winnipeg.

    It's been exciting but weird.

All are surprises except St. Louis. I had a feeling they'd go far; they've arguably been the best team in the league since Jan 1st.

St. Louis has looked impressive since Jordan Binnington became their starter. I think if there is a sleeper team in the west, it's them, and that would be quite a comeback. If the Sharks lose out (Which unfortunately I think will happen), I might jump on the Blues bandwagon. How cool would it be for a Columbus/St. Louis Stanley Cup Final? NBC would probably hate it, but that would be so random.

Tomas Hertl had his Mark Messier moment last night. He predicted the Sharks series will get to game 7 and he made it happen on a short handed goal. That game was shades of the 2008 Dallas game 6 (One of the best hockey games I've ever watched, by the way). This was a classic and probably the best game of the playoffs so far.

How many saves for Jones? Almost 60?

2-0 Bruins after the first period of game 7. The Leafs look very nervous.

Leafs didn't look good at all. Boston pretty much controlled the entire game. I hope the Sharks can do what Boston did. The Tank should be rocking tonight.

That might have been a questionable call but on first glance it looked really scary. Still to score four times on a power play is something I have never seen before. This game was insane.
