Should the Discovery crew still wear Starfleet uniforms next year?

I guess I should say they are spoilers for the season final just in case.

Anyways if the show is set in the future and there is no starfleet or federation in the future does it make since for the crew to still wear uniforms? I could see them start wearing civilian clothes instead. Actually the show could have some "Voyager" type of issues in terms of how much they want to stick with federation rules and protocol at all.

I'd just love to see Saru continue to wear his uniform in impeccable condition and try to badger Reno about protocol as she's working in Engineering wearing greasy pants and an old grey T-shirt, until she has enough of it and snaps at him with "Seriously? Who the hell cares?"

Probably, Trek civvies look awful.

Usually but we have seen a marked improvement over time with the shows. I think they would do better than some of the stuff that passed for civvies on "TOS" and "TNG." I was thinking about some of the stuff worn in the Kelvinverse and that stuff looked nice. I think Burnham could pull off a leather jacket and jeans but future jeans so they are black as well. You never go wrong in dressing characters in black. Maybe a blue t-shirt to mix it up.

She'd be the one using the ships fabricator system to print her own t-shirts.

Culber's suit was actually quite decent, if a bit too contemporary for my tastes. But I'd take contemporary over the horrid patterned TNG jumpsuits at any time. And Babylon 5 (among others) has already shown us you can create a decent and consistent future look by making just a few alterations to contemporary fashions.
