If they do this show...

It's going to wind up appearing after two to three years of fan-created animations, fiction, art and tech and possibly fan films based upon a show not yet broadcast.

Talk about your temporal anomalies...;)

That will just pour gasoline on whatever flame there is, here. Which is hard to say - stuff flares up on the Internet and often burns itself out.

I hope they include Jose Tyler in the Pike show, so we can maybe get some back story about him dealing with what happened to his brother Ash.

Hey, can they introduce Jose Tyler as Latino this time around? Brazilian mother, IIRC. If they think some old fans might freak at not having him played by a western European-looking blonde, just drop the character and replace him with the original proposal version, José Ortegas.

FYI:
You not only brought in Spock this season, but also Anson Mount, who garnered a lot of critical praise and even a fan petition to get a Pike spin-off. Is there a chance of that happening?

The fans have been heard. Anything is possible in the world of Trek. I would love to bring back that crew more than anything. It was a huge risk for us. One of the most gratifying things is to see how deeply the fans have embraced Pike, Spock, Number One, and the Enterprise. The idea of getting to tell more stories with them would be a delight for all of us.

I got a survey about Star Trek from CBSAA today and at the same time another questioner about why I was quitting CBSAA and took time to praise the series and especially Anson Mount and my desire for a Pike Enterprise. Although Discovery ended in such a way that it seems certain their will be a Mount series, I will still go a head and sign the petition. I will continue to renew and watch CBSAA when Discovery comes back but I don't watch it enough to justify all year and ya know the new Twilight Zone leaves me underwhelmed

It's funny how we're literally at the same time that in the kelvinverse, Vulcan was destroyed, Pike was promoted to Admiral and Kirk was given command of the Enterprise.

Why doesn't Number One have a name? In one of the novels I read years ago Pike stated that her name was unpronounceable and therefore just referred to her as Number One.

Just something I'd like to see addressed.

Her name is Una. Pike calls her that in the episode.

I actually liked the in-joke of keeping the viewers from learning her (full) name, even though I'd like to hear it if the Pike series is eventually greenlit. I found the last scene at her questioning where she (initially, I guess) flat-out refused to state her name in an annoyed tone that spoke volumes about what she thought about the interview absolutely hilarious. She did probably say it for the record after we cut to the other characters though.

It's been almost 15 years, folks. Let it go. Let it goooooooooo. ;)
You weren’t here. You didn’t watch vastly improved Trek season knowing it was the last you’re we’re going to see for a long time. And then the finale...
Our hearts were already broken. Then they ripped them out, cut them to pieces, roasted them in fire, put the pieces on a necklace and said, here, won’t you like this valentine!
Never forget! Never let go!

I can totally relate. I wasn't even aware of Enterprise until the year after it went off the air, and after suffering through four seasons with atrocious dubbing that had nothing common with any previous productions at all (containing such gems of translation as a starship at FTL speeds being "in the curve", moving "under space" while fleeing the "Klingonians", Vulcans performing "mind hugs" and Daniels talking all the time about something called the "United Planetary Alliance")... at the very end, they've predictably managed to make TATV even worse than the original, if it's even possible. They didn't have the money to license the original dubs for the TOS and TNG narrations so they just had some random guys reading Kirk's and Picard's lines in an utterly bored tone. Using a completely different translation than the original, of course. They couldn't get Troi's VA either and she was dubbed by Janeway's one... I don't even remember who Riker's voice was. It's one of the reasons I've decided to believe that after each time ENT ended with Terra Prime, Hungarian TV has inexplicably aired an hour of static the next day, interrupted with commercial breaks.
