Official Avengers 4 Anticipation Thread

Feige being the big TNG fan brings up once again the finale of "TNG" with Picard and the crew all sitting together playing poker lol

Feige- I should have done this more.....

It would be satisfying if this phase of the MCU ended with the original Avengers sitting around like that, really enjoying each other's company like the old friends they are before some move on/retire/whatever. It would be a perfect bookend to the shawarma post credits scene of The Avengers, when the group sat around in silence, with nothing in common.

I doubt it will end that way, but it would the perfect cap to it all.

It might end that way though. I am thinking that Cap doesn't die at the end of the movie. I am thinking that it might be possible that he starts to age like he did in the comics and is forced to retire.

I would like all of that--except the aging part. If the super soldier treatment wears off, it should (in theory) apply to Bucky as well, since he was also the recipient of a similar treatment (unless the "bugs" were worked out), and I don't see that happening, considering the TV series on its way.

It the comics it affected Steve specifically. In Endgame, he could sacrifice himself this way to save the day without really dying and keeping the door open for a possible return down the road. Notice that nobody has actually revealed that Cap is going to die in this movie.

Well ofcourse they're not going to reveal that!!

Kevin Feige: yeah, we're not releasing a trailer just yet to build some more tension. Also, Steve dies.

Ah, so that's what's out there? Thanks for the head's up.

I saw a friend post on Facebook saying there were big spoilers out there but left it vague. I didn't want to know so I didn't ask what it was. Hopefully I don't accidentally read an asinine headline that spoils it.

Might be time to batten down the hatches and avoid Everything until next Friday.

Give it to me nooooowww!

That was a great celebration of 11 years and 21 films, culminating to this...Endgame.

Crap. I’ve somehow gotta avoid those spoilers for ten days? I’m guessing that’s not going to work. Somebody is going to blab something somewhere they shouldn’t.

Tickets booked for 20:30hrs next Thursday, at the local cinema. Bring it on!

I saw the leaked footage and looked at various transcriptions to make sure I was understanding the sometimes really choppy footage correctly, and its interesting. If anyone doesn't care about spoilers and wants to know about it transcriptions of the stuff is really easy to find, even if the footage itself is a bit of a pain to see right now.

WARNING, THE SPOILER TAB BELOW IS ABOUT STUFF IN THE LEAK, DO NOT CLICK ON IT IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS

The so called "Professor" Hulk is pretty interesting, I'm wanted to see that in live action for awhile.

Hulk not being able to wield the infinity stones is interesting, but the whining from a certain part of the audience when Captain Marvel is inevitably the only one powerful enough to use the stones with Stark's custom infinity gauntlet is going to be annoying.

Captain America using Mjolnir is awesome, and some Cap on Cap fighting is cool.

Based on the leak, the big fight against Thanos is going to be epic.

I think it might be a good idea to avoid even tagged spoilers in this thread until release, lest somebody quote you and remove the tags.

I never really saw it as them sitting around with nothing in common, I thought it was just that they were so exhausted from fighting that they couldn't do anything other than sit there and eat.

In chronological order, the post credits scene was just after the battle, so with the exception of Black Widow, Hawkeye and Stark, the rest are strangers. Its only in the "separation" scene (Thor taking Loki & the Tesseract away) that there's any sort of budding, sort of friendly acknowledgement between the members (punctuated by Steve shaking hands with Stark).
