TOS Character Most Like Yourself

Spock's Barber

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Shatner in one of his books says he based the character of James T. Kirk on a idealized version of himself.

Which TOS character most resembles yourself, not necessarily physically, but rather in temperament or personality?

I’m going for McCoy, since I can be kind of cranky and impatient.

Kirk/Spock....and the slash has nothing to do with fan fiction, LOL. In this case, it means an individual who, because of several deep mind melds, can no longer quite resolve which person he actually is. He is an amalgam of both.

Too bad they waited for Voyager and Tuvix to do the blending....whether physically through the transporter, or mentally (at least temporarily) from the mind melds, it would have been interesting to see Shatner or Nimoy take on the task of portraying a blending of Kirk and Spock.

Definitely Mr. Spock. In fact, people have told me that my speech, demeanor and personality remind them of Spock. To which I reply: "Why, thank you!"

Well, "Spirk" sounds silly, and "Kock" wouldn't have made it past the censors.

McCoy all the way.

I found out that I'm related by marriage to the McCoys of the Hatfield-McCoy feud. They lived in the same small town in Maryland as did my ancestor.

And supposedly Dr. Leonard McCoy was related those McCoys too.

It was fated that I'd be like him.

Well, you're certainly grouchy enough....

:shifty:

:p

Well, since "classic" Trek did not present us with a Reginald Barkley, I guess my nearest equivalent would be Joe Tormolen from "The Naked Time", thankfully not quite as suicidally depressive.
