Did someone break or forget to close Discovery's shuttlebay door?

Could have solved that problem and improved the series immeasurably by just having a different opening theme every week performed by a different musical artist.

The part about it all that makes me chuckle the most is where Brannon Braga points out "the ship is in space. How are the bands going to get out there?"

That demonstration of an utter lack of imagination suggests that he never should have been allowed to showrun any science fiction series in the first place

I definitely feel like he did his best work when he was a writer on TNG, and had someone to compliment/bounce his ideas off of, like Ronald D. Moore. They together made some great Trek.

And some not so great Trek too.

Hey the precedent exists there were the hippies on that episode of TOS and that band that did "Spock N Roll"

All they'd have needed was a house band of hobbyist musicians. Even in a crew as small as eighty (pre-MACO contingent), they could have cobbled one together.

I can't understand the TrekBBS anymore when the thing that gets someone to say Brannon Braga should be kept far away from Star Trek is that he took a stand against shoehorning up-and-coming bands into every episode of Enterprise. The world's just changed too much in the last eighteen years for my poor psyche.

Oh good lord a band, what next a grungy bar somewhere on the ship for them to play in?

Did anyone mention someone lost their keychain with the fob on it that opens and closes the shuttlebay door?

What makes you think that's even in my top 10 reasons Braga shouldn't be involved in writing scifi TV, now or then? Where was his "taking a stand" when a couple hundred mediocre and unimaginative Star Trek eps were produced on his watch?
