What We Do In The Shadows tv show

Sparkle Fabulosa

Rear Admiral
Rear Admiral
Based on the NZ film of the same name except it’s set in New York. It premiered tonight. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I didn't get a chance to see it last night, so I'll probably watch it tomorrow. I really enjoyed the movie, and everything I've seen from the show looks just as funny.

I watched the movie yesterday and was worried that they'd have enough material but they did a pretty good job and some funny lines. I'll probably always call it creepy paper now. While not necessarily original the leprous village bit made me chuckle too. I saw Doug Jones in the credits, had to be that skinny ass Nosferatu vampire no doubt.

Okay, that was great. Frustrated that I have to wait a week for the ep.

So, am I correct that the "contains nudity" warning just referred to the racy vintage illustrations that popped up periodically?

^ As far as I could tell there was no actual nudity.

Gotta wonder: would anybody really complain about "Ohmigod, you showed a bare breast in a 17th-century woodcut!" :)

(Granted, Comet TV has been known to blur out nude paintings and sculptures when airing old movies.)

I think there have been a few times they've put up nudity warnings for Archer episodes with no nudity in them. Unless it was just subtle stuff in the background that I missed.

I liked the show.
Funny stuff and Matt Berry is great.
The opening of the letter scene cracked me up, "We could have read it by now!"
But I can't see this running more than a season or two.

sort of like The Office with fangs. The energy vampire was right on point. There is always at least one in every office. He saved the virgins by boring them nearly to death and spoiling them for the other vampires! A nice twist.

Maybe it saves time and money to put the warning on all the episodes, even though there's only side willy in one episode?

Streaming for free if you happen to live in the US and have a participating local library.

Just requested the movie at my local library. Should get it this week.

I’m past due to give my local library some love. They do some great community stuff. It’s def enjoying a much and well deserved renaissance of popularity in the city! I’m told the wait list for comic trade paperbacks is pretty long, though. :(

I forgot to mention it's streaming through Hoopla Digital if your library participates in it. I would definitely check if they do it's a nice bonus service. I get 5 "borrows" a month including ebooks, comics, movies, tv, audiobooks, music, etc.
