Space Battleship Yamato 2202

Lol at the comments about Mary Sues. People seem to use it to mean female characters they dislike, while ignoring the male characters who have the same traits. Really devalues the actual definition. You know who's a Mary Sue in 2202? Kiman.

Anyway, I did some scaling of Amaterasu, and it gave me a figure of 448 meters.

Hopefully they'll come up with some official art of this ship from some other angle. I am curious what is going on with this hull.

We may never see a second of its type, but they have that as an option. Or they refine it, and we get the Arizona type (or Pennsylvania-class I think they called it in Yamato Resurrection)

I don't think it was the Pennsylvania-class, just that it was named Pennsylvania.

I found someone on Pinterest who did a reasonably good job taking this one side view and making a full physical model of Amaterasu, using an Andromeda hull as a core for the kitbash. Looked pretty impressive, actually, and I could see how it matched up to the limited known information on it.

Link?

Can't get to it right now. Work firewall. I'll see if I can find it again and post it here.

Pinterest is an awesome resource, but its contents are shifting sands - changes randomly every time you login a new session and it's very difficult to find something again after you've seen it once, especially if you've drilled down several levels to find it.

Aaaaand here we are. It looks like they added a small gun at the hard point near the back where I think they link up with smaller Dreadnaughts instead. Other than that, it seems pretty dead-on to the single side ortho to me.

Dangerous looking ship.

I'm wondering why official version has angled wave motion gun openings? Or they cut back the bow slightly when they added the prow on it.

Now that I have a reasonably decent idea of its overall shape, I think a full 5-view ortho is now possible for me to noodle out. Stay tuned...

They basically built a ship to use the extra six turrets left over from the two Apollo Norms and two Aquarius type redesigns in the AAA line.

Part I is finally available on Amazon Prime Video, but it looks like all the episodes have to be purchased individually versus a whole season, 1-click buy. Anyone know why this is?

Watched the first disc. Where was that massive fleet Earth built when Planet 11 was attacked?

And, why do we have Under Armour fighters?
