Aftermath of the Kaylon invasion, presumably.

Man, I was hoping that Dann would make the ultimate sacrifice in Identity Part II.

They could have had the world's most boring wake for him: Gordon standin' up there at the podium, you know, going "I remember well what Dann said to me..."

After years of experience in using elevators, I can attest that Dann > Linus, especially width-wise.

Linus was kind of a one-off steal from Dann, wasn't he? Or rather, the elevator scene was a borrowing. Is he still hanging around on STD?

So we're finally done exploiting Xeleyans as jar openers, only to use them for target practice now?

I wish they'd pick a different hairstyle for Talla, that side ponytail just doesn't seem right.

For you PC gamers, there's a famous mission in Starcraft: Brood War titled 'Blood of Patriots'. It's probably coincidental, but I'll be vague, it involves a very awkward alliance that ends in horrific betrayal and bloodshed...but not necessarily from the figure(s) you'd expect.

edit: the memory betrays me. It's called 'Patriot's Blood' which isn't exactly the same and is generic enough to almost assuredly be a coincidence

Did the Kaylons kill the Xel'naga?

I'm sure that MacFarlane has the Jefferson speech in mind, rather than a video game.

Oh, the mission isn't even named that.

"Do you like pretty things? I do. And nice things."

Poor Talla. She's going to have her own bed in sickbay.

Is that Krill captain played by the same guy who portrayed Silik in ENT?

They're trying to outdo South Park's running gag of "They almost killed Kenny, those jerks!" :p

Nick Chinlund is a character actor who has done a lot of TV (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, 24) and movies (Con Air, Tears of the Sun, Training Day) of all different varieties. You'd recognize him if you saw him but might not be able to place where you saw him before.

Orville so far has done good on using the disguise of comedy to do a serious take on a nominally joke subject (e.g. a human zoo), so why not? Even if they keep it a simple recurring joke, it will still be better than Torchwood: Miracle Day.
