Worst TOS kitbashes?

The only craft I ever really disliked was the DS9 tug podder. It makes sense though. Keep M-5 wonly a tractor beam. A big exocomp.

Well here's mine...(I did this after rewatching the TAS episode "The Time Trap", and thought how these guys would try and build a vessel that could break free of the Delta Triangle aft seeing the D7 and Connie "merge" to escape)
I called her the Chimaera

So it's like an space version of that improvised boat made from a superfortress bomber from the movie, "The Last flight of Noah's Ark"

It reminds me of various concept planes I've seen that are built out of two or three 747s put together.

It looks like it warps into a system and deploys Saladins into combat.

If you had swapped each nacelle for a primary hull it would have been perfect! (Of course, I'm sure this ship has a "beautiful personality.")

Ah! You must be referring to the old Keith-class Scout. :D

Yeah, that's one ungainly bastard.
Are there any that kitbash everything except the saucer? I keep getting a giant neck-section stuck in my head, with 1-2 deflector dishes up front, either 2 super-tall or 4 regular nacelles on the sides, and a huge viewing platform on the top 2-3 decks, to use as a science / exploratory / terraforming vessel. It's like a flying skyscraper at that point.

Because sometimes humor helps to lessen the blow from the trauma that CBS really actually is shutting down fan efforts that have existed unmolested for years under good faith and Fair Use laws. I’ve been counting the days until I get my C&D for my website.

The heat has been turned up since Alec Peters acquired millions of dollars in crowdfunding for a fan film that never happened. He was selling coffee, t-shirts, models, DVD’s and Blu-rays and other memorabilia with the Star Trek logo to make a pure profit and clear a nice salary for himself and his cronies off of CBS’ IP. CBS sued him, settled, and now in the tradition of all large corporate entertainment entities treating all things the same in true cookie cutter fashion, all fan sites are being scrutinized by their legal droids. Only a matter of time.

If I get the directive to shut down, I will. I have neither the inclination, nor energy, nor disposable income to remind them what “fair use” means. If they want to alienate their fandom, the people who put money in their pockets by paying for licensed stuff and CBS All Access online streaming, that’s entirely within their purview to do so.

So, as you can see, making jokes is really all we can do in the face of imminent destruction.

Alex Peters Stealing from CBS using their IP is NOT Fair Use.

Not to mention I never said AP's production WAS fair use. I was saying MY site fell under fair use (all credit citations listed where possible and no profit has ever been made off of anyone's IP) and may yet suffer an impending C&D because of AP's shenanigans.

Someone wasn't reading carefully and did a little bit of out-of-date shitposting.

THAT would be a disaster of galactic proportions! :O

It would, but I’ve been mentally prepared for it for some time now. Been pretty lucky in general and have had a good run of it these past 20+ years, to be honest. Just keeping a relatively low profile. No crowdfunding or anything like that. :D

Right. Hulu, who prints my tech manual, has an option to market it thru Amazon. I'm sticking with just hoping people find out about it word-of-mouth. If it goes up on Amazon, I'm sure I'll be C&Ded the next day.
