Captain Marvel (2019)

Thanks for completely misunderstanding my post, just as I knew you would, champ.

Predictable.

And pathetic.......
You knew I would respond that way even though I wasn't part of the conversation before making that post and haven't responded to you in months? Wow, you really are the Amazing Randy. If only you could use your precognitive powers for good instead of wasting your time whining about how men are so put upon.

Now please, explain in detail which part of your post I supposedly misunderstood, instead of just turning around what I said in a totally non sequitur way.

Glad to see that RottenTomatoes is putting an end to this madness. You really shouldn't be able to leave a review for a movie that you haven't seen.

Far as the controversy over Shazaam/Marvel, I don't care. I have ZERO interest in seeing that Shazaam movie. It looks way too silly for my taste . Captain Marvel looks like it will be something different and exciting a la GOTG. Hopefully it will be that and not average and formulaic a la Doctor Strange

Us Airman working for a hostile foreign power.

Collusion, treason and AWOL.

(Yes, yes, amnesia and brainwashing, but it takes a court martial to prove innocence, even if that innocence is clear as day and black and white.)

If Shazam! does really well, then Mary Marvel will get her on movie on the basis of Captain Marvel making a billion dollars.

They can't call a movie about Mary Marvel "Mary Marvel" because I don't think that Mary uses that name in this movie if Billy doesn't call himself Captain Marvel.

She-Shazam! ??

Theme from the film.

'This soundtrack is too female, Brie Larson has ruined movie soundtracks because she doesn't smile' - Youtube comments probably.

Personally i think the theme is a bit phoned in. I was really hoping the music from the first trailer would be theme.

Yeah, it's well done music and all, but I'm not catching any particularly prominent leitmotif that's being attached to the character.

It's something of a larger problem with Marvel scores as a whole. You'd think with such a huge cast of characters that routinely show up in each other's movies that there would be a more focused effort in ensuring at least most, if not every major heroic character has their own distinct little theme or musical phrase. As it is, some do, some don't, some seem to have several, some just have a general musical style or genre of needle drops as their signature. Aside from the Avenger's theme, it's all a bit scattershot and inconsistent.

Way back in an old Marvel handbook, it said that Carol can lift press 50 tons.

Dark Phoenix eats Planets.

Or do you just want to see Sophie and Brie wrestle?

Though ironically, SOLO, the only male lead film of the new STAR WARS films, is the only one to underperform. I guess audiences want more leading women in blockbuster films!

Or Solo was punished because of The Last Jedi.

Or, more broadly: there was low demand for a recast origin story of Han Solo starring a comparative nobody and released six months after the mainline episode.

There wasn't much demand for a Guardians of the Galaxy movie in the MCU either, look how that turned out.
