What are your favorite 1-episode characters?

We all wish for our favorite characters to live long & prosper in long & fruitful story arcs, but sometimes 1 episode is the extent of their TV lifespan. As someone who has Picard's tinwhistle/flute diddly for a ringtone, I can say some of my favorite 1-episode characters are from "The Inner Light." (Eline, Batai, Meribor.) What are some of your favorite 1-episode characters?

Berlinghoff Rasmussen. I like Matt Frewer in any role, and his underhandedness here was fun to watch.

Lt. Commander Nella Daren. It was nice to see Picard have a love interest, even if it was short lived.

Vash (technically 2 episodes). Same as above, but a more interesting character.

Recently I started re-watching TNG from the very beginning on Netflix.
I like Mordock from S1 "Coming of Age". Good buddy development time with Wesley. Don't know if his race (can't remember the name) re-appear later.

Another Benzite, Mendon, came aboard in A Matter Of Honor. Played by the same actor too.

Mendon was the one who noticed the bacteria eating away the Klingon BOP hull.

In no particular order.

Commander Calvin "Hutch" Hutchinson "Starship Mine" -- Wish he hadn't been killed off. Would've like him back for more Hutch, Picard and Data comedy in season 7. Maybe Hutch on board the Enterprise on a diplomatic assignment for which he had some past experience as a qualification.

Hannah Bates "The Masterpiece Society" or Mirasta Yale "First Contact" -- Would have liked some follow up on how someone adjusts (or doesn't) to leaving a more limited world in favor of the vastness of the Federation.

Ardra "Devil's Due" -- Ardra confederates break her out of prison and she has a score to settle with you know who.

Gul Ocett "The Chase" -- The actress (Linda Thorson) seemed to enjoy playing the role.

Yes I agree with these choices.

Wasn't there a barrier to bringing characters back? If writer A brings back a character created by writer B doesn't writer B have to get paid? If so would that make producers more likely to shoot down returning characters unless it's a damn good story idea?

I remember being so damn glad to see a Vulcan (Taurik) featured in Lower Decks. We got a taste with Dr. Selar in season 2, but man that show hated writing in Vulcans, & I really them, & him. Vulcans tend to add to the richness & diversity of their universe imho

Come to think of it, I bet we could name all the Vulcan appearances (Except Spock or Sarek episodes) on one hand. The only one I'm thinking of is the scientist lady from Suspicions

There was that Vulcan kid in an early TNG episode where Riker catches a couple boys looking at the starship display in the conference room. We also see a Vulcan family during the evacuation scene in the Bynar episode.

He played Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation! Second Officer Klag!

He appeared in a DS9 episode as well, as a Jem'hadar.

I think that stricty speaking, she doesn't qualify as she appeared in two episodes, but I really liked K 'Ehleyr, the human-klingon hybrid female ambassador. Also as a partner for Worf, a pity we never saw more of her (and her interactions with Worf) on the show.
