His story with Wesley is no creepier than Doc Brown's with Marty McFly. It's our society today that wants to assume impropriety in any relationship an adult man has with a child, unless that child is his own. It's a very judgemental view imho

Yes, there was also that Picard guy who kept hovering over the boy and barely refrained from making public advances towards his mum. What a creep! But nothing compared with the (eventually) bearded fellow who showed no such restraint. Really, the poor boy was surrounded by adults in a confined space. Somebody ought to have called Starfleet.
