do the scares on the actors faces in closeup

The first time I saw ST3 TSFS in HD, I was taken out of it by the red uniform jackets. The fabric was too coarse, and not what I expected. The old, softer images let us imagine a more idealized world.

I never even noticed they had scares*. Who did you notice has them?

*Joking, I know you mean scars.

That's interesting. I can't get enough of those uniforms - although red is my favorite color and they come very close to my ideal shade. I'm trying to think if I noticed that the fabric seemed rougher when I first watched in HD.

The make up on Shatner and Nimoy in the TV series is definitely more evident on DVD than it was on VHS! I can't say about Blu-Ray because I do not have a player! :D

I don't remember noticing scars. Was there anyone you had in mind that is scarred that I didn't notice?

By scars do you mean pock marks? Most actors from that period like Morgan Woodward for instance had them and I think Leonard Nimoy himself had the odd dent in his cheek! :vulcan:
