What? No dude, don't let someone else here make you feel like you can't post things. Post whatever you want.

I remember Trek when it first started.
I watched it as a kid as it progressed through TOS to TNG and into the many movies and additional sequels that spun off of it.
What lways amuses me about trek are the fans.
Seems like everyone that's a fan of Star Trek has some opinion about what should be in what shouldn't be and those opinions are sometimes set in so deep that serious fights arise from it.
    That's always too bad.
It was a great show and it has some great lessons in politics and diversity and racial awareness that helped a lot in the shaping of a lot of people.
if "starship", who actually started this threat anyway, doesn't want to see my ships, it's okay by me.
He started this thread so he should have some say-so in it.
    I'm okay with that.
I'll find another sandbox to play in.

I can't say that I understand exactly what's going on here, but I'm inclined to agree with @Dukhat on this: @Handyman, please continue to post you work freely here or elsewhere in the forum. @Starship might have started this thread, but he's not the arbiter of what people get to post. This is not a personal blog, this is a message board where everyone gets to take part in the discussion.

Also, I don't want any further discussion about who gets to post what in this thread. Any further comments about this can go directly to PM. Thank you.

Hummm... I think that no. Excelsior isn´t the 1701, as painted in the hull. ;)

Isaac describes her as "The Warden class of starship was lighter armored and more heavily armed. It was produced in a limited run. The captains of this class of ship developed quite a reputation in the Federation and were often referred to as the gunslinger captains in reference to the particular strategies and brand of diplomacy the Warden class was best deployed under."

Always loved Atolm’s designs. They’re so unconventional in usual Trek design aesthetics, but all could still quite easily fit within their respective fleets.

Whoever made this model, the USS Nautilus, knew how to make an elegant looking starship. I think the design is a well considered evolution of the way Trek ships were evolving at the time, and it remains one of my longtime favourites:

Union? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with what Scifi that is from.

Ah yes, I can see where you're coming from there, some definite similarities - at least from what I've seen from the show's promos. I'd love it if Orville would go on Netflix at some point.

Thanks for remind me of this ship and his author!
Steve Rivers is the mesh builder. He had planned an upgrade for her, interiors included. In fact, he started to build the new version many years ago (you can find his channel on youtube), but he lost interest and quit 3d modelling, unhappyness.
