which one?
Dubya. I couldn't watch Tomorrow Never Dies when Bush Sr. was President since it came out in '97. That would've been tough without a DeLorean or a slingshot around the Sun.

just checking who stole my time machine...Dubya. I couldn't watch Tomorrow Never Dies when Bush Sr. was President since it came out in '97.![]()
Really boring episode, shame after last week which was classic Trek, this is back to just nothing and I'm really bored of Klingon stuff.
And how does Ash know of Section 31 again?
don' you think they'd stuff him with anything relevant they have about the federation - section 31 is definately relevant to a deep cover spyReally boring episode, shame after last week which was classic Trek, this is back to just nothing and I'm really bored of Klingon stuff.

I haven't but I'll add that to my list to watch it right after.

She was great in Crouchng Tiger as well. I had actually never seen it, and I finally watched it in the off-season this year.
That was enjoyable ballet. Now imagine the martial arts there on speed and crack cocaine. That was what we got from Hong Kong from the mid-80s to the mid-90s. I would almost kill to see that level of choreography on Trek, any Trek. I mean, what kind of hand-to-hand combat courses do they teach at Star Fleet Academy anyway outside of the ones Kirk attended.
Kirk Fu is all a person needs

Don't knock the double fist chop and the flying drop kick. That is also its own special form of ballet.

Ugh I wash we got more angles on that D7
An actual looking Klingon ship. That’s new.
I enjoy come Kirk Fu as much as the next guy, but its the best the Star Trek franchise ever delivered. With CBSAAs budget I think we all deserve at least occasionally something that approaches Hong Kong's golden age level of choreography, as long as their upping the ante on everything else.
I thought the fight scene in "Whats Past is Prologue" was better than anything ever featured previously in Star Trek...by about 300%.
While I agree, I think they can do better.
It explains why Ash may continue to feel connected to L'Rell even though he has feelings for Burnham. Even if the kid isn't there, he exists.
Also, just because Baby VoqRell has been put on a bus doesn't mean he'll disappear forever. All of the dialogue in that scene felt very wink-wink and nod-nod.
I’m not nearly as high on this as some of you. I’d give it more of a 5 or 6. The Klingon stuff is really bad and I liked the Klingon stuff in TNG/DS9. The pink blood was a nice touch for those Klingon redshirts.
Pike is still fantastic and the Burnham/Amanda stuff was great. I think they semi-solved the Tilly thing a bit to quick though.
Really hated the “you and my grandmother are the only two that still communicate with screens” exchange between Pike and the starbase Captain.
In a world without the Enterprise retcon, this kind of prequel (set earlier of course) could have been a nice way of showing how the human-esque Klingons of the past came to exist, and be respected.
It's more like the ENT explanation. It didn't retcon anything. Worf simply said they don't speak of it with outsiders. It was left deliberately vague and unexplained.![]()
The D4 wasn’t in ENT.So are they retconning the look of the D4s in Enterprise? Were none of the ugly ships used last year actually designated D7? I like that they are trying the right the path, but it still feels clunky.
