That bridge is still too damned big. It just looks silly.

No. THIS bridge is too big.

No. THIS is a gothic cathedral in space.

See, I can do this all day!!

:D

Except for the fact that you clearly have no idea what a gothic cathedral even looks like, That doesn't look more like a piece of any Christian architecture than, say, a Klingon D7 does. Hell, this looks a million times closer to a gothic cathedral than what you chose: At least it has flying buttresses.

I would not want to be on the second level when that ship is attacked.

The ships computer won't let "anything" fall too far.

Gravity nets don't have a lot of range either.

Mirror Archer crushed that Gorn by isolating one piece of deck plating the size of a small living room rug.

Back closer to the beginning of Enterprise we see Mayweather hovering in a sweetspot, because the gravity fields on the floors, walls and ceiling did not reach the other side of the room, or it was something about larger fields trying to keep the entire ship upright like they're on a planet overlapping too much.

But as I said, that scene immediately told me that the baby's head was NOT real (and I mean "real" or "not real" as per the fictional story)
I miss as many subtleties as anyone, but I think they signaled that L'Rell was lying to the council in her conversation with Georgiou. When the emperor asked L'Rell if she could kill Ash and L'Rell replied "no" she couldn't kill "the father of her child" (or baby) and Georgiou replied that she "had to ask", that let us know that if she couldn't kill Ash, no way could she kill Ash Jr., and that Georgiou wouldn't either.

So, in the next scene when speaking to the council and launching into that story, I thought, oh, that's how she's handling it -- the Klingon way.

This is what I get for skipping a Star Trek series.

I wasn't trying to get into an argument. It was(I thought) a fun, lighthearted exchange.

But, unfortunately, if we must get into a pissing contest, you are incorrect. The Event Horizon was specifically designed to evoke a gothic cathedral. In fact, the designers scanned elements of various cathedrals to aid in the design of the ship, both inside and out.

The extras on the DVD and direct quotes from model designer David Sharpe are your sources.

The term "gravity net" is from DS9 Explorers, when Sisko built a solar sailing ship. That was one of Ben's exceptions to the authenticity of his hobbyjob.

Okay, then this is what I get for having a crap memory and not having seen that episode in over 10 years. :p

Its fine if they think so, but just a single image search on gothic cathedrals proves, at least were it came the external design of the Event Horizon, they are talking out of their nether regions,

Hey man, my team just won the Super Bowl, so I'll say it was designed like a fucking Chuck E Cheese if it will make you happy and allow us to end an inane, meaningless, off-topic argument that was never meant to be an argument.

Christ!
