Do you read when sitting on the toilet?

@Jayson1: if you think about a thread with the title 'Do you eat when sitting on the toilet' you'd better post it in the TNZ. It'll get dirty.....:D

I understand.:) I think I did that once. I do know I was also once so constipated that I was drinking water on the toilet as if it would kind of loosen the blockage. I think I have had some dumb ideas in my life.

No.

Considering what the bathroom is used for, even the cleanest bathroom is still the dirtiest room in the house. I even keep the door always closed.

Bathrooms are dirty and it's especially a issue if you have OCD like me. Yet there have been times when I was really sick and I just lay their on the bathroom floor and all those other concerns go out the window after vomiting. I'm not good with vomit or being sick. I totally become something of a drama queen during those times. I would be the person constantly ringing the bell while sick in bed if something like that ever presented itself in real life and not just comedy movies!

They found out via tests that the fridge of a household is also very dirty. Bug infested. I should clean my fridge - thoroughly.

Please tell me no one actually does that! :ack:

Also... please don’t give Jayson1 any ideas. Isn’t it bad enough that this thread is a thing? ;)

I guess Jayson1 will come up with something different weird. I hope not too weird. As to politics - I'm keeping myself out of that topic!

There was Dr. Bashir complaining about Martok beeing the one who bleeds profusely in his sick bay, making it impossible to get the Klingon blood out of the carpeting. :klingon:

I once heard that more people text from the toilet than anywhere else. I do not know the validity of that statement nor can I recall the source.

I once had a boss who made phone calls while on the toilet. Indeed, there was one occasion, he tried calling me at 6:30 in the morning wanting me to come into work, thing is I was already at work (my shift started at 6:00) and my parents weren't too pleased to be woken up. My boss said he didn't know I was scheduled to work that day, to which my dad rather irritably said "aren't you the one who writes the schedules?"

The reason my boss wanted me in that day was because he was skipping off, so I didn't see him until a few days later when he decided to speak with me about the incident.
"...And then he said 'aren't you the one who writes the schedules?'"
"Sounds like something he'd say."
"Well, that isn't fair! I was at home on the toilet taking a shit! I shouldn't be required to have someone else's schedule memorized under those circumstances!"
"You shouldn't be making phone calls under those circumstances."

Damn right. That's just wrong.

Has anyone ever been in the situation when your on the toilet at home and someone knocks on your door? This has happened to me before. You never know if you should get up even if your not finished or just let the person walk away. I have a hard time turning away a knocking door so I always get up but when I do I am always find that I find it weird to talk to someone in that situation because you just want to go back and finish your procedure.

Someone knocked on the bathroom door while I was sitting in the tub. She had to pee very urgently. I had to flee the tub and keep her in. Luckily I live alone now and I have the bathroom for myself. But often it happens that the doorbell rings while im sitting on the toilet. I don't hurry up, though.

I don't live alone but I do worry about taking a shower when I am the only one in the house. I always think of that "30 Rock" episode where Liz Lemon almost falls in the shower. Falling in the shower and nobody around to help you if you get injured is something I think more about now that I am getting older and also have issues with my bad knees.
