Someone earlier this year said it was missing in recent interviews with her too, so I think she had it removed.

Well, Stamets doesn't look or sound all that thrilled when telling Tilly to "bring the spores online" so my guess is that they are using it very reluctantly.
(unless this is a scene from Season 1 which I don't remember, it's pretty obvious they ARE going to use it)

Tilly is not wearing a cadet badge.......so it IS from season 2. Will will just have to wait and see if they actually use it. Not much longer to go now!

She most likely had it removed because "fans" seemed so obsessed with it last year........many of which were way over the line IMHO.

That's never done intentionally. Often scenes seen in the trailers might end up being deleted in later edits of the movie, or in some cases completely changed due to later reshoots. Rogue One was particularly infamous for the latter.

I believe Lorca’s “Make the empire glorious again” line didn’t make it out of the trailers.
