Sorry, I decided to take a bit of a break from most of the Internet the last couple of weeks after a huge debacle and to try to level myself. I was working. Then my mom texted me this afternoon while I was napping and when I woke up, it was to her message that she'd gone in for an MRI this morning and the doctor told her that she has "spots" of cancer all over her body, including a broken rib from cancer that's been making it hard for her to breathe lately. Her difficult breathing was why she went in for the MRI.

She was supposed to hear more yesterday but the doctors never called back. She has a mammogram set up for today for one of the spots they saw on the MRI, but she didn't call until after hours yesterday to find out why they hadn't called yet.

I hope she hears from them today.

The thing is, the way she described it to me was that they were seeing spots all over the place in her upper body/chest/back area, but they were figuring that if it was, in fact, cancer, that it had most likely spread from somewhere else.

We're facing the real probability that we'll lose her sometime in the next year if it's as bad as they're thinking.

I'm completely lost right now.
