A few issues with Star Trek I have that are really annoying

First of all, post season 4 or 5 TNG music and Ds9/voy music being the same.

I mean what is up with that? It's so bland and dull. Simply a synthetic 3 tone sound that barely tries to imititate a mood or vibe as opposed to earlier tng seasons where the music made you feel the atmosphere and the emotions and etc.

Also, what's up with the characters never saying see you later when leaving, never saying hi. The view screen turns on in half a second upon establishing contact and the other character is instantly talking with no greetings. In real life in any century you better believe there would be a delay in establishing a link, but let's say they just cut the delay out, you would still hear a greeting or see the camera on their end being adjusted etc. Plus you never ever hear a good bye or a sign off, simply a statement and sudden end of communication.

Hmm...

You've been on the board for 9 years, and made 13 posts, including this one

Let's just say at the start this one will have a short leash.

1) One of my favorite elements of TOS was the music! It was the best. So memorable. I see CD soundtracks for sale for TNG/DS9/VOY and can't imagine how boring a listen they must be.

2) I don't know how professional it would sound to say "Hi Captain!", or "See Ya!" at the end of every transmission. Maybe on Enterprise they could have.

Remember when the TOS Pilot had aliens who were telepathic and not only technologically advanced but also mentally advanced as well?

After Season 4 of TNG all aliens have the same exact touch screen buttons with no usefull information on it displayed at all. They all have warp engines. As far as I've seen the enterprise/voyager has always has the superior speed except the borg and slipstream drive which only like 2-3 species use.

Its like if Earth is in the year 2370 in terms of technological advancement almost every alien species also has the same development.

The dominion has been around thousands of years as an interstellar empire and yet their terroritory seems about the size if not maybe a little smaller or larger than the federation. They dont have cloaking technology and their ships/weaponry is really no more advanced than the Federation..
Wouldnt the dominion be an almost unstoppable force compared to any civilization? Why do they need to have touch panels with those buttons that display no info? DOnt they have strictly neural to direct vessel command interfaces?

Also, do all the planets they land on have the same concentration and pressure of oxygen and the same gravity as Earth? We've never seen a single planet that has lower oxygen, or lower pressure, or especialy lower gravity than earth. If a planet had 50% oxygen it would be sort of unhealthy to breathe that much concentrated oxygen and 10% oxygen would make it much harder to breathe without assitance.

And please dont mention the episode "The Chase". There is no reason alien races all have 5 fingers and 5 toes. There is no reason they all have the same height, have the same body structure, organs, same drug/chemical/nutrition interactions in the body/brain. No reason they can reproduce with other species. No reason they should have 2 eyes, two ears, a nose, a mouth, an ass, an reproductive organs much like humans do.

Why would the Voth "evolve" (if evolution is fact at all) from large lizards to a humanoid size and shape and despite being "millions of years" ahead of everyone only appear to have a single ship and be in just a small part of the DQ?

I mean if it was realistic or science fiction decently, we would not have this kind of nonsesne.

Now I love ST and I love it for the story and characters, and obviously not the completely ridiculous logic and lack of common sense that could only be found in America, but yea, every planet has gravity and oxygen? Each time the ship loses power or whatever the one thing that never does it the gravity (although one time in ST VI the klingon ship did lose gravity which was actually nice).

We have proof that higher oxygen pressure and concentration makes animals much much larger (which is why foot long dragonflies and massive dinosaurs used to exist with small nostrils... because of the higher pressure and oxygen concrentration back in the days on earth), meaning that alien planets and species should not all be limited to our height, (heck we even have proof whether by skeletal evidence or even recent photos) of men that are over 8 or sometimes 9 feet tall... Aliens in worlds rich in air pressure and oxygen could grow much taller than 12 feet... So why do we always see the same aliens with the same features as us and same level of technology all throughout the Milky Way galaxy is beyond me.

And the episode "The Chase" is just a cop out. Absolutely no explanation at all and most of the episode was just technobabble about an alien message in DNA found only in species that the Federation is aware of and only in a small sector a few light years maybe a bit more from Cardassia to Romulus and not from the edge of one part of the milky way to another? And of course the language was spoken in Modern English lmao..

Ahh star trek. The stories are nice but the logic is so ridiculous.

Why do all species (yes there are a few good ones) require metal objects to travel? There is this thing called mind over matter. Learning to control and use the power of the mind is superior to technology. The Q learned this and the people of Planet Vegeta from The Dragonball Galaxy use inferior ships but could conquer the entire galaxy with ease with no technology at all

They don't. There are dozens of Trek species that don't require metal boxes to travel around the galaxy.

Dozens? We only see a few. And you cant just come in and say they dont to a massive topic with lots of points and think you won the arguement by one statement and then leave like its over. I clearly mentioned that just a few species are advanced to not be humanoid and not need tech

Yup, TOS, alone, had many aliens that could get around the galaxy without spaceships.

He can refute your position, which @Tosk did.

Dozens? We only see a few.
Off the top of my head...Q, The Founders, Gomtuu, Organians, Kevin Uxbridge, Prophets, Pah Wraiths, John Doe, Zetarians, Onaya, the Q-Less lifeform, the Galaxy's Child species, Kes, the Calamarain, the Traveler, The Cloud, the Trelane species, Apollo, Thasians, Redjac, the Crystalline Entity, The Bonding alien, the Imaginary Friend alien, the Obsession cloud, the Companion...and someone with a better memory than me will add more. :)

And you cant just come in and say they dont to a massive topic with lots of points and think you won the arguement by one statement and then leave like its over.
I don't think I "won an argument", I just picked one point that I knew was incorrect and pointed it out.

Didnt refute it at all. Im aware TOS had many such species but didnt mention them becaue they were usually gods or Q like beings.

How does that refute the gravity or the aliens looking the same?

Seems logic in America and common sense is limited. People get very defensive about anyone who disrupts the fandom with logic or common sense.

Those aliens can just be clasified as anomalies, or Q like beings, or energy beings.

The majority of aliens im talking about are all humanoids with the same level of technology or usually less or a little more than the Federataion.

Also never understood how warp capable species like Cardassians talked about hunger in the streets

You said

He said

Then you back peddeled
Dozens? We only see a few. And you cant just come in and say they dont to a massive topic with lots of points and think you won the arguement by one statement and then leave like its over. I clearly mentioned that just a few species are advanced to not be humanoid and not need tech

He refuted that with examples
Off the top of my head...Q, The Founders, Gomtuu, Organians, Kevin Uxbridge, Prophets, Pah Wraiths, John Doe, Zetarians, Onaya, the Q-Less lifeform, the Galaxy's Child species, Kes, the Calamarain, the Traveler, The Cloud, the Trelane species, Apollo, Thasians, Redjac, the Crystalline Entity, The Bonding alien, the Imaginary Friend alien, the Obsession cloud, the Companion...and someone with a better memory than me will add more.

then you started moving goal posts.
Those aliens can just be clasified as anomalies, or Q like beings, or energy beings...

So much for your opinion of the moment.

Seems @Tosk was right.

Seems like this is more stuff about Trek that annoys you, so I've merged it with the existing thread on that topic. Please stop creating so many new topics that are variations on a theme. That can be considered a form of Spamming and become actionable.

And you cant just come in and say they dont to a massive topic with lots of points and think you won the arguement by one statement and then leave like its over.
We're here to discuss, not compete. Dial it back a bit.

And the Golden Rule in these parts is "the post, not the poster". Insulting other posters is a good way to earn yourself some formal Warnings.

was quite generous here. Probably still full of the Christmas Spirit.

Me, not so much.

I even tried, God Help Me, to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Based on this, and the general terribleness of your posting, I'm closing this.
