When you have such a rather large device with universe ending implications I think an omniscient being is a good way to get out of the ridiculous corner they have painted themselves in to.

Actually, I've been quite complimentary of the characters of Tilly and Stamets (and Lorca until they decided he needed to be EVUL!!1!), the basic idea of the Spore Drive (though it really doesn't work within the framework of TOS/Prime) and the cast. I am astonished that anyone thinking Q snapping his fingers is a good way to cover up poor writing.
I don't recognize it, but it's a little hard to see it clearly. I'm not sure, but I think see a vertical disc and two Stafleet style nacelles.I just noticed the THIRD ship in the poster, by Tilly's shoulder.
Anybody make out what it is, my eyes are too old to distinguish it.
On that note, who would make a good Q in the TOS/STD universe anyhow??

But these days? Who's a good stand-up comedian in their 40s? I think you need to have that type of quality to play Q.

I didn't say it was good. I simply thought it would be a way to be consistent with past Trek and end the threat of the Spore Drive.

This is nice. I like it.
But... although I hate to be that person, if you're going to go there -- and don't get me wrong -- you might as well finish the job and have Pike in a Cage Uniform. Different ships can have different uniforms but I think Pike's uniform should match the version of the Enterprise being used.
I can do zat.
