So the katric ark is basically the last “system restore” point?
And the Fal Tor Pan is basically just going into control panel and conducting a system restore?

Perhaps the real reason for Vulcan's purging of emotions is a lack of storage space and throughput
So... when Spock got to the end of the Kholinar, the Vulcan lady basically said “Spock, you have performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, please contact the programme vendor”.
We know magic exists in the Star Trek universe from that TAS episode where Satan showed up and taught the crew how to do magic. Not science indistinguishable from magic (a la Catspaw), but real magic spells and abilities.
I thought Horcrux was a Pokemon, then I looked up who I was thinking about. Burnham is indeed NOT a Heracross. 
It's like a backup USB stick for ones katra.
The One Ring, only lots of them, with pieces of butchered soul inside, to make dark wizards ham it up for many books without having to do anything.
And snake juice can kill them.
So the horcrux must have been destroyed before Sarek died...
Which begs the question: what magical object can kill a Michael Burnham?
Some of them did plenty but only during term time. They had the summer off.
The saucer section spins around and around, the ship rolls over a few time, and then the whole thing goes zipping upward.
How can you call that "dull and unimaginative?"

It's ok. The likelihood of me watching a Harry Potter movie is about the same as me landing on the moon covered in Parmesan cheese and being worshiped by Vulcan love slaves.
This just made me think of Walter Bishop, desparately trying to back up the soul of William Bell (Nimoy) to an old computer drive of some sort, from the vessel it was inhabiting..... on the show Fringe. Man, did I have some crazy mashup theories years back combining X Files, Fringe and Heroes....
Had Voldemort simply attacked during the summer holidays, the world would have been his. Then again no one acts with any real intelligence in the books so that's not surprising.
That or Dumbledores most ingenious plan was to make sure all the wizarding hotels offered the best deals so they all cleared off out of the country on a booze cruise or something.
I only know it's a Harry Potter thing. That was enough for me. But since many I know in Real Life are Harry Potter fans, I've had plenty of exposure to this theory.
I now think Dumbledore needs to make an appearance on Discovery... for reasons like "Just because!"
