Spoilers The Flash - Season 5

I don't need a logical reason, it can be whatever reason Rag Doll had... but, story telling isn't about things just happening "just 'cause."

Rag Doll had a reason. It might be fucked up, it might not be reasonable to someone NOT Rag Doll, but, there's a need, a motivation.

Hell, the Joker always has reasons. Fucked up reasons, but, reasons nonetheless.

But, YMMV.
right...

logic doesn't always equate reason...

I feel like Icicle's plan, much like a lot of villain's plans, was way too dependent on circumstances outside his control. What if Caitlin had not been able to solve the cryptic clues that he left for her? Or what if she had died before finding him?

He didn't know it would work -- he just hoped it would. He was trapped, and this was the only chance he had of getting out and killing off his good side. How often do the heroes try to pull off a desperate plan that has only a slender chance of working? Sometimes you try things because they're all you've got, not because they're guaranteed to work.

I was more troubled by the whole "absolute zero" thing. They just reminded us last week that Cisco built Captain Cold's gun, which was supposedly capable of creating "absolute cold." So why did they suddenly need to break into some special facility to achieve the same thing? Never mind the usual junk science -- if that room had been at absolute zero, then by definition, nobody and nothing could've moved at all, and of course they would've died long before it reached that point. Even aside from the direct effect of the cold on their bodies, the air would've solidified and snowed down onto the floor, and there would've been nothing to breathe.

All true. And it was really dumb for Barry and Nora to try to run into the building when they should have known the extreme cold would sap them of their speed.

Caught Icicle.
Better than last week, but it was Ralph and Cecile’s story that was the most engaging for me.

I was a little meh with Cicada’s motivation... he and the doc are mad because Metas are dangerous. Very familiar territory. I’m hoping they will bring something new to this trope.

I was annoyed after spending so much time hurting Cisco when he vibed last week, this week there didn’t seem to be consequences. True he did it less than last week, but nary a nosebleed? No blood? It’s almost like last week didn’t matter.

And Caitlin’s story. Sigh. I’ll forgive the CWing soapiness of Hes Not Really Your Father, YES HE IS, but I’m a little disappointed act six was basically “Hey all, Caitlin has her powers back”. Cisco and Barry have both lost family, there could’ve been more umph, more heart.

I'll admit, I got a bit teary eyed when Caitlin actually managed to talk to Killer Frost at the end. And seeing her in action again was just awesome!

But yeah, all in all, not the best episode sofar. Liked the little reference to Gotham again, with Victor Vries.

Also, is it me, or are the current seasons of both Flash and Arrow already a lot better than their previous seasons??

There was definitely some blood coming out of his nostril after he vibed in the lab. They showed us the breaching gismo, so we know he used the machine to breach in.

I thought for a sec, but I rewound and it didn’t look like there was to me. It was to dark. They should’ve made it clearer. Like wipe it from his nose, or blood on the bandages.

Any other Canucks relying on Netflix having trouble finding the latest episode? Typically, it drops two days after broadcast on CW, which means it should be available today, but it is not. I know it's American Thanksgiving, but something like this should be automated, non?

Well, yes and no...... Yes, as in I want more. But no, because if it was longer, there was a change that would have been it. This setup is a guaranted more!!!

In some ways, maybe it was better to leave it to the viewer's imagination as to what Caitlin and Killer Frost said to each other. The viewers can have fun imagining what they said rather than just being shown what they said. It adds more mystery.

I loved Cisco's reaction to Weather Wizard's daughter naming herself Weather Witch -- "I'll allow it."

It's an interesting twist in the Cicada arc that the meta-hating doctor is not just a willing accomplice, but if anything, is almost more of an instigator behind Cicada than Dwyer himself. That may be overstating it, but her comments did seem to push him in that direction. It hadn't struck me until now, but the element of anti-meta hatred to the Cicada arc somewhat echoes the anti-alien hatred arc on Supergirl, though it's being more implicit about it.

I feel sorry for that guy now.
You know what, like Agent Liberty, I’m on his side now.

DEATH TO ALL METAS AND ROACHES!

Except Superman of course. He’s exempt. :)

It looks like things have changed so much Nora isn't recognizing the weather witch. She doesn't seem to know her. They've changed the timeline significantly, every time Nora does stuff with hem.
