2019 Releases

Hey, I just showed up and sat in the chair.

It was nice to be back there, though. It was the same studio where my father used to work as a radio announcer for the local classical station, the sister station to the one the interview was on. They consolidated their facilities some time ago. So I like it when I get the chance to see the old studio again. It still looks much the same as it did 30-35 years ago, albeit with newer equipment. (I actually had my first paying job there -- I spent about a week helping them reorganize their record library, back when recordings were still kept largely on vinyl, magnetic tape, and CDs.)

Good interview. Looking forward to Captain's Oath. Gotta say though that interviewer was over-mellow even for public radio. Did you have her sedated before you began the interview? :)

Great interview - I'm eagerly anticipating this one! The details of Kirk's early ship assignments in previous novels and comics are so convoluted and potentially conflicting that I imagine this book will chart its own course. I wonder if this story will be entirely set in the pre-TOS years, or will be set during TOS (or movie era?) with flashbacks. Looking forward to it either way.

Yes David Mack talked about Available light by Dayton Ward and Collateral damage and talked about story elements from A time to kill and Heal and his Destiny trilogy and Control are going to be part of the upcoming books storylines. I'm really excited about this news about the upcoming Star Trek book!:bolian::D

JD David Mack is rewriting one of his Magician books for Tor books before he can work on Collateral damage he mentions near the end of his trek.fm interview it's a great one to listen to. He gives you a alot of insight into the the Time to Heal book and how the storylines from that novel and a Time to kill will be tied together in the upcoming TNG trek books.

It was a great interview. Got me to not only pre-order Mack's Dark Arts Book Two: the Iron Codex...but copies of A Time To Kill/Heal as well...tho I know the 'A Time To' overall plotline well enough, I've yet to read those...time to rectify that oversight.

The Time to Kill and Heal are fast paced books and really well written story arcs for the TNG characters.I'm reading A Time to Heal it's a book you don't want to put down. You want to find out how the story continues from A Time to Kill. It's all fast paced action in every other chapter. And quiet moments for the characters too.Just great storytelling in both books.

I hope it pays homage to Una McCormack's last Garak novel in being either three years into his premiership or beyond; or doesn't touch on Bashir and instead other aspects. I remember from the podcasts about the Fall Mack's respect for her work so I hope this plays a role in the new one :)

Interesting news.Third Class Star Trek Academy by William Shatner I hope we'll get more news about this on book soon.

Holy shit! I liked Collision Course a lot and was very disappointed that Trial Run never materialized.

I suspect it's one of those Amazon glitches, though. Like when one of those Kelvin universe novels appeared briefly.
